The hotel is simple, but has everything you need. A continental breakfast is included, great capucchino coffee is served too. A room is clean, no noisy and is near to Coliseum, Termini, and many others landmarks in Rome. The staff is a kind people and the hotel is located in a safe zone, great for enjoy walking tour until late... More

We just returned from a short trip to Roma and spent 4 nights in Hotel Artorius. There are many very good things to say about this small hotel in the wonderful Monti section of Rome: 1) Very clean and large room by European standards 2) Comfortable bed 3) Completely quiet - never heard anyone else of the guests or any... This was our second visit to the same hotel in the capital. It is an ideal base to explore from, close to some decent restaurants, notably AI Tre Scalini and Il Covo. Accommodation is of a good standard, although some of the fixtures are looking a little tired. Front of house have good English and were helpful. There is not... More

We spent four nights here. All the staff were very helpful. with advice of where to eat and best way of getting to where ever. The room was and shower room was clean. The only improvement I can suggest is to improve the heating in the breakfast room which is an awning. Otherwise great for us as we just wanted... More

For a two star hotel and the amount we paid. The location was great and we 5-10mins from most places and there are plenty of restaurants on the same road so after a long day walking you don't have to travel far for a evening meal. We couldn't of been happier the room was spacious, very clean, the bed was... More

We are visiting in February and our room is cold but the weather is cold and wet out side. This hotel has the oldest lift in Rome very quaint, had to sleep in my jumper not ideal and fan in bathroom can't be turned off! Breakfast was good.

Fantastic, staff, hotel and very friendly. Will be back! Thank you so much for advice, help and organizing taxi for 4am. Love the coffee style! Gave everyone a smile. :) easy walk to colleseum. Did a circuit and covered huge amount on foot. Cavour is a nearby metro stop.

We arrived a day early then anticipated and needed a hotel desperately. The rate was superb for such a wonderful hotel. The staff was excellent, service was impeccable, the complimentary breakfast was wonderful and the hotel itself was so beautiful. One of the best hotels I have ever been in. The location was convenient and if not for having already... More

We actually travelled in June 2011, so this review may well be irrelevant as things could have drastically changed. However, if you'll indulge me, I'll assume that it hasn't and that it's owned and run by the same people. First things first - location. For me, if you're going to Rome this the most important thing for a Hotel as... More

We stayed at this hotel last summer. The location was great. It was a little walk to the subway and a short walk to the Colosseum. The hotel is run by really friendly people. They have a quaint old elevator too which is charming, although we mostly took the stairs. The hotel is very clean. However I had two complaints:... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
