We chose the hotel after seeing the reviews on tripadvisor and it was fairly cheap booking with expedia. The 3 of us (our mother, aged 70+ and 2 grown up girls) were bowled over when we arrived at the hotel-it's only small so the taxi driver missed it first time-the room was so clean and in great condition and the... Stayed here for 4 nights in April 2012. Chose it because of the great reviews and was not disappointed. First and foremost, location. We did not realize, until we walked the city several times over, how centrally located the hotel is to almost every historical site you would want to visit. The rooms were large and quiet and the bathrooms... More

Located on a quiet narrow street just a few blocks north of the Colosseum, the Artorius is perfectly situated for walking to several A-list sites. It's also less than a block from the bus stop, and within easy walking distance to both the A and B Metro subway stops. Rooms are spacious and updated. The staff all speak excellent English... More

Very good location in Rome. Close to major attractions and Metro. Room could do with a bigger TV and more pillows. Staff very nice. Limited hotel facilities but thats typical in Rome. More

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Artorius at the end of April 2012. An excellent location for exploring Ancient Rome, and lots of great restaurants very close. We had a large room, immaculately clean, and a decent sized bathroom. Our room fronted the street, but when the windows were closed it was very quiet, and between the shutters and... More

Have come a couple of times to this hotel, mainly because of the location. Artorius is in the heart of Monti, a quaint little neighbourhood full of restaurants, wine bars and fashion boutiques. Apart from the location, the hotel has little to offer: Rooms are small and overlook a small courtyard or the narrow street. The furnishing is traditional; breakfast... More

Located in a semi-pedestrianised street the Via del Boschetto, but just a couple of minutes from main Via Nazionale and 10 mins walk from Stazione Terminii, this little 10 room hotel is ideally placed for seeing Rome either by foot or bus. Rooms may be small but very well maintained and bathroom/shower modern and effective. Excellent breakfast in the back... More

stayed for two wonderful weeks March 14 thru 27 2012 loved it. Very quiet street with restaurants on the same street, short walk to Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps also very near the Vittoriano monument and Piazza Venezia a few more blocks and you are at the Pantheon and Piazza Navonna or shop along Via del Corso. The hotel is... More

This small hotel is in a narrow cobbled street close to the Colosseum, with lots of great local restaurants, shops and bars. The hotel itself occupies one floor of an old apartment building with a very old lift. The reception area is tiny, but the rooms themselves are a good standard with very nice bathrooms and showers. We occupied three... More

I chose this hotel because of the reviews on this site and really glad I did. I will agree with many of the visitors who speak about the friendlieness of staff, its great location and splendid rooms. The hotel lies just off the Via Nazionale which one of Rom'e main central streets and is about a ten minute walk from... More
