Location was absolutely great, and my room was huge with an exterior window. If you open the window you can listen the cathedral bells. Very quiet, private and save. I really enjoy the fact that the hotel was in the Trastevere, next to the Guetto, and 20 minutes walking to Piazza Navona or 25 min walking to Trevi Fountain. Taxis... More

Great little place in a great neighborhood. Easy to catch the tram or walk, Fabrizio and Maria and all the people that work there are super helpful and the actual rooms are quiet and roomy compared to typical European accomodations. The first time I stayed here they reserved museum and train tickets for me, and this time Fabrizio and Maria... More

A nice, clean B&B in central Trastevere - but in a quiet street. The owner is supernice, very friendly and can help out with all questions you may have. The rooms are not huge but enough space for 2 persons. The bathrooms are very small but still have all you can need, and very clean. The wifi is for free... More

We loved our stay at the WRH: location, price/quality and service were very good. Rooms are roomy and clean. Breakfast is a cappuccino and a cornetto in the bar on the other side of the street, which was fine for us. I have stayed in several places in Rome which offered less quality for higher prices and would defintely recommend... More

When the driver dropped us at the addreass we provided, we were sure it was a mistake as we were facing a regular apartment bulding and not a standard hotel entrance. A small name plate by a regular apartment door directed to the apartment now called a hotel. It is actually a 2nd floor large apartment converted into 5 guests... More

What a lovely place to stay! The manager was so friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless, charming, and quirky. We were given a free bottle of wine upon arrival which was a lovely touch too. The bathroom was clean but small, but that didn't really matter. The location was perfect to see everything, especially the markets at night... More

My partner and I have just left this hotel after spending 4 nights here in room 5. Room was lovely and spacious. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean! We found that the location was absolutely ideal and we managed to walk to all major sites throughout Rome. The hosts really were lovely and were happy to offer information and kindly... More

My husband and I have just stayed three nights in this hotel and we couldn't be happier. First it is located in an excellent area, which is only a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the Colosseum etc. Second it is very clean and cleaned daily. Third - the bed is actually comfortable! And it's a quiet place to sleep.... More

Great place with a friendly staff. Helped with directions and were very accommodating to my needs. Would stay there again. While the room was not huge, it was more than large enough and the AC was perfect for a hot day in Rome.

You often are lucky to find a great spot which offers just what you are looking for at a cost effective price Trastevere is a small B&B in a small street just off via Trastevere Our room was a fresh, bright and big room with a aspect over rooftops. We could not have asked for more. The support from staff... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
