As students, my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere cheap but central to stay in Rome for a few days. WRH Trastevere was perfect - amazing value for such a lovely room. The set up includes a reception area on the first floor of an apartment building, found down a nice alley way off the main road in Trastevere.... More

Although I've been often to Rome for work this is the first time I stay in Trastevere and will definitely repeat the place. The room was big, very clean with beautiful modern bathroom, all at a great price. The owner is really nice.

We recently stayed here in the Marilyn room. The room was a fantastic size and very clean and comfortable. The location is great, within walking distance of the Roman Forum/Coloseum, Vatican etc, we didn't need to use public transport around the City. Trastevere is a good location for restaurants and bars. It is also easy to get to from Fiumicino... More

Good service with well decorated minimalist room. Location is a negative point about the hotel as it is not recommend for those single traveler as it is located at the back lane with no signage guided us to the hotel. Positive notes, well kept and friendly caretaker with very simple breakfast served 5 minutes away at local bar near the... More

I decided to stay here because a friend told me that Trastavere is probably the best area in Rome to stay - she was right. The area has a “neighbourhood” feel, and though it’s still not without its fair share of tourists, there are probably just as many locals. There are a lot of restaurants nearby which do amazing food... More

WRH Trastevere is in a great location. It is nice and clean. Fabrizio was very friendly and helpful during our stay. I love the Trastevere location, you can walk everywhere. My mom and I were visiting my brother who was studying abroad for the semester. His flat was in the neighborhood so we choose this place. We stayed in the... More

We stayed two nights at WRH Trastevere (141126-28). WRH is perfect situated with a walking distance to most of the interesting places in Rome. And in night time there are plenty of nice restaurants in the neibourhood. If you like to take a jogging trip in the morning just go two blocks to Tibern and take the stair down to... More

Stayed for 3 nights at Fabrizios B&B in Trastevere. We've only good things to say about this place. Very nice and clean rooms and Fabrizio was very wecolming and helpful during our stay. Fabrizio helpt us with finding restaurants and shops, booking tables and cabs and book and print tickets for Colosseum etc. WRH Trastevere is located in a very... More

I'd have no hesitations staying here again. Trastevere is the best place to stay in Rome. Great restaurants (not touristy with people begging you to come in!) and bars for the evening and SO easy to walk into the main city. This B&B was great. Beautifully kept rooms, very helpful host. When in Rome, you don't spend much time in... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
