We only stayed one night but wht a great location very easy to walk to the Vatican and other places of interest. The hotel has an interesting lift to the rooms ancient but lovely. The rooms clean and tidy and the staff most helpful. Breakfast very good too.Good value all round.

We stayed here 8 nights. On the final day we were asked to leave room for cleaning. I have undergone spinal reconstruction, and use OxyContin tablets. More than 20 blister packs containing medications were stolen from the bed side table by the maid. They were neatly stored behind other personal effects. It took us a few hours to realize the... When we arrived at Relais dei Papi and got shown to our room we were a little bit worried as on our corridor there was a lot of maintenance going on and you could see they tried renovating the 3rd floor too. However we didn't need to worry. We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. The location is great for... More

We were a party of 7 staying three nights in 3 rooms during peak season in July and not one major complaint from anyone. The newly renovated rooms and breakfast room were just great. The theme maybe a little Asian but the feeling was that you were in a hotel in a cosmopolitan city. The staff couldn't have been any... More

A hotel in the middle of an apartment block is different from my general experience of hotels. The introduction to Hotel Relais dei Papi is intriguing as one travels to the fourth floor on a lift that is over 100 years old - and that worked quite efficiently while we stayed here. All the staff we met were all very... More

I stayed here in the beginning of July for two nights with my partner. The rooms were very, very clean, the beds were comfotable, and best of all, it was air conditioned!!!! The staff was friendly and spoke excellent English. The continental breakfast was delicious, and of course, they had espresso! It was a great location to walk every where...Vatican... More

Cozy and comfortable. We were greeted by helpful, bi-lingual staff. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Yes, the shower was tight but we had been advised that is typical throughout Europe. We loved the central location and were able to walk everywhere we wished to go. Breakfast afforded an opportunity to interact with other guests and cheerfully start... More

We were there 3 nights 6 adults, 3 rooms. Some of us styed in old stylished rooms and one couple in the modern stylished. Bathroom was better in the modern one, i.e bigger a lot! Welcome to the hotel was friendly and helpful, rooms ready soon in the late morning. Breakfast room interesting but still working and enough to eat... More

We stayed for three nights - three adults and three children. The staff were extremely helpful at all times, and the location is fantastic. Very quiet streets, no noise at night, close tot he Vatican, lots of good restaurants and cafes in the vicinity, also food shops to buy picnic lunches. Rooms a bit small but hardly surprising given the... More

A very dark, dingy bedroom that looked like a retired brothel, with flock wallpaper and gold plastic headboard! Shower too small to lift my arms up to wash my hair (I'm a size 16). Stank of stale scented candle or joss or something. The fumes affected my breathing and even the cleaner was complaining about it. In general it was... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
