My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Relais dei Papi the first week in November 2015. It is the perfect location in a charming neighborhood. We were in walking distance from everything and closest to Vatican City. The service was fantastic and Daniel at the front desk was especially helpful. We chose to stay in a room... More

I always watch reviews before I travel and just returned from a 7 day stay here. There is a bellman outside from about 8-6 daily. Secure bldg with key or bell ring opening. Someone is on duty always. Floors 3,4 and 5 house the 29 rooms. Wifi in room works great and is free.Yes, the elevator is small (24x42 inches)... More

It is a small hotel with an excellent location. Very Clean. Small rooms, but it has what you really need if you want to know Rome. You only use the hotel room to take a shower, sleep and be ready for the next day... Really close to the Vatican and about four blocks away from couple metro stations. All the... More

The property is in an excellent location for access to the Vatican and the metro for visiting other areas. Good restaurants and cafes only minutes walk away. Our room was small but spotlessly clean. Breakfast is fine with fresh pastries constantly topped up. Public areas are very limited but perfectly adequate with a vending machine for soft drinks etc. Welcoming... More

Once you have got over the extraordinary decor (see the official photos), you find a clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. There always seemed to be someone at reception. The public facilities are sparse. There is apparently a breakfast room, but they prefer to deliver breakfast to the bedroom, largely in packets of bread, cake etc, and it gets a... More

Prior booking this hotel we read numerous reviews. We were cautiously optimistic about our decision to stay here. Upon our arrival, we were promptly greeted at the door by Daniel who took our luggage up. He then took us through the check in procedure while offering tips for what to see and how to get there. The rooms itself were... More

The room was small and quaint as depicted and expected. It was very clean and well maintained. The location was excellent, only a 10 minute walk to the Vatican. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, especially Giuseppe, who went out of his way to ensure that we had all the information we required and assisted with arrangements, and made... More

When we rocked up to the Hotel, I thought we'd come to an office building, as the Reception was on the 4th floor. However, as we later found out it was a Heritage listed building, we understood why. The rooms were on the small side, (as was the lift) but manageable. We spent 3 nights there, then went on a... More

Some of the reviews on Trip Advisor led to expectations of an enjoyable, quaint, “quirky” experience in this Rome hotel. Certainly surprising was that the building also accommodates private flats (and maybe even some commercial premises) and the hotel is only located on certain floors (Reception is on the 4th and we were accommodated on the 3rd). While that in... More

Perfect Hotel in Rome just 15 minute walk from all the sights at St Peters. Met Daniel on arrival who provide a recommendation for a restaurant nearby and was just perfect Giusseppi on reception the next day who is a mine of information, best advice is follow everything he advises. As i said this is a very quirky hotel, I think... Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
