we had to pick hotel which had parking facilities nearby and also avoided the CBD zone in Rome ( restricted entry for people without an address in inner Rome). so we picked this one. its near the underground or metro station and fairly quiet. with a big supermarket almost next door and a few surprisingly good restaurants like L'Sola or... What a great hotel; set in a residential part of Rome, the location is perfect, there are some great restaurants within walking distance and it is right next to the Stazionne Tuscolana so easy to get to and from the airport. We walked into the city every day and got the bus back if we were tired. It's bus 85... More

Just returned from a very enjoyable stay at this hotel on our first trip to Rome. Very comfortable, clean stay and excellent location. 40 minute train ride from the airport to Tuscolana station which is no longer than two minutes walk to the hotel. Small supermarket next door which was handy. It is a little further out of the main... More

Just came back from a 3 week trip to Europe. Coming from North America, I must say that the rooms were very small for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was however very clean. The breakfast served in the morning was average but by no means worst than much of our hotels in that past 3... More

I stayed in Hotel Tuscolana for three nights in July and used it as a base to meet up with friends in Rome. I found the reception staff to be incredibly helpful; they gave good advice and did things like print out boarding passes etc. I found the room and bathroom to be really clean and the air conditioning worked... We stayed for three days, wandered in the city all day long and basically used the hotel for sleeping. Great value for the money. There are pros and cons. Pros are the hotel is close to a metro station and the line takes you directly to the Spanish steps and Rome center. The service at the hotel is very very... More

I never planned to stay overnight at the Hotel Tuscolana. A group of us were in Rome to see my partner's tap show. After the show, we met some other friends from Rome for a celebratory dinner that went on a little late. Long story short, we ended up missing the last train out of Rome to the Sabina and... More

We were stuck for a palce to stay in Rome because the last train had gone and we were at Tuscolana needing to get back into sabina (Poggio Mirtetto) and we didn't think we would find anywhere to stay that would come up to our usual sandard, but we were very surprised after having a look on tripadvisor for somewhere... The Hotel Tuscolana is always open and is very well located, just one block away from the Train and Metro station that connect the city center in around 10 minutes and the Airport in 15 minutes. The Hotel Tuscolana is very well equipped with Italian furniture , the breakfast... More

I chose this hotel by reading TripAdvisor's comments. And I was not disheartened. This hotel is very close to 'Roma Tuscalona' station and red Metro line 'Punto Lugo'. Even though the outside of this hotel is not very appealing, inside is very clean. Hotel employees were very nice and helpful. Three of us stayed there from 15th to 18th June,... More

My wife and I stayed here in early June for 3 nights in Rome. It was a little hard to find when we got into Rome late at night, but once we got out bearings, it was simple to find our way around the neighborhood and get to the Metro stops. Our room was small yet very comfortable and quiet,... More
