Reading the reviews I'd like to make some points. This is obviously not that luxury hotel. It's a simple one. In some cases you share the bathrooms like I did (the crew keeps them clean but some guests are messy) but it has got a good bed and is really a good price. I like the location the most because... We booked there sort of short-notice after our flight was cancelled and, honestly, I was not asking for anything spectacular, but what we got was waaaaay worse than anything I'd expect. Ended up paying nearly double to have (like many people here) a room with private bathroom. Needless to say it was a waste of money: the shower was ether... More

This is a 2 star hotel. It is old and slightly decrepit. But the beds are comfortable. Some of the showers are excellent. There is a great reading light by the bed and the overhead light is bright - a pleasant change from many dimly lit rooms. Street noise was nowhere near as bad as i expected. The room doors... More

My SO and me stayed here for a short vacation. Since the hotel is very close to the Termini train station it was a good choice for a short sightseeing tour. On the - side the area was noisy, on the + side the breakfast was excellent.

Is a good place to stay because the price and the good location for travels. The rooms has a very good size and the bathroom was clean. Be careful on the surrounded streets at night because are very dark and dirty.

We had a reservation, which they cancelled and then tried to charge us for more than double the original rate. The place is a dump, it looks like the seedy hotels in Las Vegas that they rent out to hookers by the hour. The wifi is extra, and charged at 3€ per hour or 5€ per day. As we were... More

I booked the hotel for 6 days and I regretted it. When I booked it the website said one of the reasons to book this hotel was Wi-FI and it was not true. When I asked why the reception employee said This is Rome", everything is expensive here". The bathroom was shared and usually dirty. The hotel is located across... More

Very simple place to stay in Rome. Location is a huge plus, but that's everything. Price could be lower, rooms oriented to the street are noisy, beds quite uncomfortable, .... For one night it's OK, for more I would consider something else.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
