We reached Rome on 17th July 2009. The only thing good about this Hotel is that it is a stone's throw away from from the Roma Termini! Waiting at a cheap excuse for a "reception desk" was still tolerbale ...but finally the manager there asked us to be seated in an adjoining room & only because he was incompetent &... more

The room had no A/C,just a very noisy fan on the ceiling. The bathrooms were down the hall, and usually with wet floors and no paper towels. We ordered internet services which were suppose to be for 24 hours, when we couldn't get it to work I went down to the front desk, where I was told to call a number which he... more

Hotel Marsala is a pensione (budget hotel) that my husband and I found when we came back to Rome from Venice for one final night's stay before leaving for the airport the next day. It's less than a 5 minute walk from/to the train & subway station (which was perfect for us). We had a very pleasant experience here. Our... more

When we arrived we were put in a room with no air conditioning which was our one stipulation when booking, and we were told we would. The bathroom was also disgusting and moldy. But after extensive complaining we were actually moved to what seemed to be a secret room off the lobby that had a brand new bathroom and air... more

Dr. Bhaskar Maitra, Kolkata, India Direction of the Hotel from the Train Station: When you alight from your train in the Stazione Termini in Rome, walk straight up the platform without taking any diversions. You will reach the end of the platform. Turn right and come out of the station. Cross the street in front of you and turn left... more

I was not sure what to expect as some of the reviews were a little dodgy but I was pleasently surprised. From the outside it does not look great but once you're inside it's grand. It's cheap and it's right beside the main train station which was perfect for an early morning train. The rooms were quite big and spotless,... more

We had problems with our shower one night and they offered to move us to another room we decided to stay were put and the shower... more

We did not have big expectations for our hotels in Europe but we were pleasently surprised by this one. The room was spacious and had its own (clean) bathroom. It is very near the train station and the area where the tour buses pick up/drop off. Breakfast was included (coffee and bread). Be careful, we were pick pocketted by a... more

We (me and wife) spent 3 nights at Hotel Marsala in Rome. The positives are : proximity to termini ( which is an excellent thing), but the rooms are small and really not very comfortable if you are looking to relax at the end of the day - you feel sorrounded by walls & no a/c. Would still recommend if... more
