For a room to sleep and easy to move everywere from Rome center, across the street from Roma Termini (central station, subway, all trains going anywhere) and the service and attention is excellent, the wifi is €3 for the time you are there, but in Rome you don't spend time on your electronic devices other than a camera.

I had booked with 2-star Hotel Luciani, round the corner in Via Milazzo, which seemed OK after viewing their website. When we arrived they sent us to their partner hotel, nominally a 3-star place. I had booked a twin and they gave us a quadruple on the top floor which we did not examine too closely as we got there... More

Located across the street from the Termini train station in Rome, the Hotel Marisa is a good choice if traveling by rail. We paid 84 euros for a clean and comfortable room and bath with continental breakfast included.

I have been in a few hotels aroun termini station, this is definitly one of the best I stayed in. Clean room large bathroom, safe box in the room, only pity they do not have minibar in the room. The location is excellent a few meters from the entrance of the station, internet wifi was not included and I paid an... The rooms are tiny, WiFi (if you pay for it) barely reaches into the rooms and is as sluggish as an antique 14.4kbps modem. Breakfast is coffee, cereal, and disgustingly sweet croissants served from 0730 to 0800 only. There is a 0100 curfew with no exceptions made for any reason. If you are not in the hotel by 0100, you... More

This hotel was booked through the services at the train station. What a mistake this was. From day one, we were treated like criminals and just inconvenienced in general for the duration of our stay. Unbearable and unnecessary. I've had great experiences in equivalent hotels in Rome. With so many choices in this city, you'll have better chances just about... More

I stayed in the hotel on a class trip, and was very disappointed with it. The rooms are just like they look on the hotels website, which is totally acceptable. Unfortunatly, nothing in them works. The safe did not work in any of the rooms, the TV did not work in my room and most of the bathrooms had a... More

Although Hotel Marisa has a good location, being next to Termini, for most rooms, that's where it ends. Very basic indeed. Very noisy as well, even at night. The beds are comfortable though. The TV only had Italian channels which was not too exciting. The guy who gave us our keys was a bit grumpy and the breakfast is quite... More

Very basic room. Breakfast was bad, juice was bad. AIR CON - Costs 20 euros and breakfast cost 10 euros We did not... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
