I've stayed at Hotel Katty twice now, once in July 2013 and then last week as well, and I think it's great for the price! Close enough to walk to Termini station. It's clean, air conditioned, and very spacious, and the price of the room includes a simple breakfast across the street. It doesn't claim to be anything more than... More

Hotel Katty is exactly what it says it is, a 1 star hotel that will provide a private rom and bathroom. The room was fine, and clean, we stayed with a trip of 5 people. The hotel was right around the corner from a taxi stop, and not too far walking distance from other attractions. Would go back for another... More

Hotel Katty is located on the 4th floor of Via Palestro, Roma. There is a miniscule old fashioned elevator that takes a maximum of 3 pax per ride. If you are not too heavy, then, 4 pax could be okay. The receptionist was okay but the owner (perhaps?) a little bit scary. She stays on the same floor where the... More

Booked 3 quadruple rooms for 3 nights for a weekend visit. There is a small lift to the 4th floor, the stairs are very tiring! Hotel is clean and spotless, beds are comfortable, and breakfast is provided in a nearby cafe. It's a 1 star hotel, so don't expect 5 star luxury, but it's safe, clean and comfortable, and very... Let's get things straight! This is a poor to average hotel in all respects. The operators are well-meaning and provide a cheap, clean and safe house in Rome. The furnishings and decor are basic standard, dull and old-fashioned. Shower room / toilet basic (but clean). Yes it is close to the main Termini railway station and bus routes but it... More

The customer has to remember that Hotel Katty is 1 star hotel, then furnishing and decor is proportionate to the category, as everybody can image. If you want a more luxury furnishing and decor, it's obvious that you have to reserve in a hotel with more stars, not 1 star! Hotel Katty is a simple and clean hotel, with more... More

It's really really good location. It's close to Termini station, Trevi fountain, Via del Corso (shopping), and every monument and church before Tiber river. There's also a lot of restaurants and cafes in the area. For breakfast you get croissants and coffee/tea in a cafe across the street, but if you like savory breakfast there are sandwiches to buy. Room... More

We got the 203 room for couples with a double bed. Staff was nice and explained everything and the room was clean and spacious enough. There is also 10% discount on cash. It's really close to Termini station, and we did sightseeing everyday on foot! Breakfast is right across the street in a cute little bar "Lilac", there are croissants... More

8 min walk from Temini. Clean room, new towels every day. The hotel owned by a nice serviceminded family. The breakfast (on the other side of the street) was too Little: just a croissant and coffe or tea but we could buy extra sandwiches.

We stayed here one night, arriving in late morning. They let us check in early, which let us recover a bit from our overnight flight. The room was spacious enough and everything was clean and fresh. Our room had a step up to the bathroom - be careful getting up in the night! If you are wondering where the room-darkening... More

A good price for Rome, good location, near to the termini train station, the metro and lots of buses, easy to find and easy to access the rest of Rome from here. The hotel is on the 4th and 5th floors of a beautiful old building, the lift is small but it's a long way up to walk! Staff very... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
