I just keep coming back! The location is great - easy to walk to from the train station even with bags. I have to admit this time we got the worst room we have ever stayed in - I mean pretty standard drcor but this room had a view of (an alley? dungeon?) - I didn't know they had such... More

I was a solo female traveller and I booked this hotel after reading the reviews here and was not disappointed. Staff very friendly from the moment I checked in. They recommended places to eat and gave me a very handy map of Rome. Breakfast provided every morning between 7am-10am and there was a wonderful selection of pastries. The room itself... More

We stopped at the Yes hotel for our Honeymoon in Rome. The location of this hotel is perfect very close to the coliseum and Forum and next to the termini station. I would say its great for its transport links to the Metro (which it is) however i would recommend walking everywhere the walk right across rome will take about... More

The Hotel Yes is a small hotel but their service makes up for their size. Hotel accommodated all 10 adults travelling from different parts of the US back in October 2014. The hotel is an easy walk approx 2 blocks from the main Rome Termini train station. Area at night can seem a little sketchy but we did not feel... More

Myself and another colleague were at a conference in Rome last week. We stayed at this hotel because of the good reviews, closeness to the train station and reasonable cost for Rome. We were more than happy with our choice but as other reviewers said the area didn't seem great. The rooms were small but very well presented, the staff... More

This hotel is 2 blocks from the main Rome Termini and an easy walk. Area is a little sketchy but we did not feel unsafe. Hotel is easy to find. Walk straight out the front of the station to the large road in front. Turn right and go to the red light. Continue straight across this road and continue to... More

This hotel is very pretty and clean! The staff is amazing, they go above and beyond to help you. The rooms and bathroom are updated, just on the smaller side for two people we both struggled to get ready but that is execpted. If you want to stay in this area I would highly recommend this hotel and it is... More

I chose this hotel for its convenient price and for its location. We wanted to be close to Termini. You have to take the metro for the major sightseeing places. The hotel was overall clean and the stuff was helpfull and nice. The rooms were small but it was enough for us after walking all day, used just for a... More

Breakfast is a nice little selection. Good area. Restaurant wise. there is a lovely one called Mama Angela's 4 rd's ups. Coliseum 20-30... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
