Don't expect anything special and it will be ok. Good location (both metro lines are close and lot of bus posts) for move around city, but lack of anything interesting close to hotel. We will not take this hotel for 2nd visit to Rome

Stayed here as part of INTREPID Tour package. I plan to come back to Rome to visit other places I missed but I would not stay here again. The stairs are hard work. It is not that close to the station or anything else. There's also too many heavy doors to get through before I get to the room. Everything was... More

I would never stay at this hotel again. Noisy, rude students and teenagers were banging on doors and screaming throughout the night. The rooms are small and with very limited services. Difficult to even find someone to check in/out with.Worst hotel I've ever been unfortunate enough to spend time in.

Recently stayed here as part of a group tour. Rome was over 40 degrees at the time and the room only had a fan, which barely worked and made a loud noise. Uncomfortable bed, loads of mould in the bathroom and the reception phone rang all night! Avoid at all costs!

I stayed here with a group tour and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were small but clean and our room was quiet once shutters were closed. Central to tube and train station. Nice restaurants close by. Bathroom was small but compared to others we had stayed in Italy this was very good.

This was our last night after a 8 day train tour. It is a short 10 minute walk from the Centrale railway station. The hotel is old and the rooms quite small. There is a central staircase where access to the rooms is through a secure door. Behind the doors are the rooms. Unfortunately the rooms are not quiet. We... More

The hotels hard to find and when you do you'll be disappointed. Thankfully we only stayed for one night but it felt more like a place for back packers than a young couple, the room we stayed in was big but the bed was hard and for the price we paid was unsatisfactory, breakfast was a laugh we were given... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
