Located in the heart of Rome and close to everything, operated by an eldery couple, extremely friendly and knowledgeable about Roman culture. Rooms overwhelmingly decorated with small statues and ancient replica, very charming

We had the most wonderful stay at Pensione Barrett. Michele and his wife are the most lovely people! They gave us detailed and brilliant recommendations and treated us like we were part of the family. The room was clean and perfect. The decor is just great and all adds to the atmosphere. The breakfast options were vast and I particularly... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The owners of the hotel treat you like family and every single suggestion they gave us was incredible. Rooms are quirky, but super clean and wonderful overall. We would highly recommend this location and this hotel. A perfect place to stay and right on... More

What a find! This small family run hotel has it all; perfect location in the historical centre with all sites walking distance, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms complete with back and foot massagers. The Pensione Barrett was an amazing find. From our first contact by email until when we left, we were made to feel welcomed and cared for. This is a far cry from the standard, impersonal feeling of chain hotels. It was not just that everyone wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time during our stay at the Pensione Barrett,... More

Great experience! The Pensione Barrett is a really convenient and comfortable place to stay. Michele and Cinzia and their staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Michele is a veritable mine of information about all things Roman - the food, the art, the architecture and especially the history. Not just when, where and... More

Stayed here for a long weekend: it looks, small, but it has 24 rooms on the second floor.our room had a marvelous view on the archeological site at the front: when you close the window no street noise can be heard. The foyer looks a little crowded with furniture, art and plants, but the place is impeccable clean. It feels... More

We found Pensions Barrett in LA Guidance Michelin and what a find. You sometimes find a place that resonates with your personality. We corresponded with the proprietor, Michele, many months before our trip and from the very beginning he was very helpful. We actually stayed in the Pensions twice during our Italian trip. Michele and his wife are very knowledgeable... More

We have spent a short weekend in a very cozy and clean hotel. Our room was originally decorated and nicely equipped with all the amenities. We tried the pleasure to prepare a good breakfast in the room and enjoy it on the bed: what that never happens when we are at home. Fantastic view on the ancient Roman Temples.Very close to... More
