Being able to open your window and being right next to the Colosseum is absolutely breathtaking and makes it worth it. Breakfast is ok but its nice to have when all you want to do is run around Rome. I also recommend going to the Colosseum first thing in the morning to beat the crowds.

We arrived and had out bags carried up to our room. Excellent! Room clean but stinking hot so air con turned on. The temp in the room only dropped to 24c after rain. Way to hot. We spoke with reception and they said they'd clean the filter. Part of the problem is likely that the balcony was 3/4 covered in... More

I stayed at Imperial Rooms for 6 days over Easter and one day at the end of that vacation. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were great about telling me how to get to places and calling taxis for me. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. I had the in-room bathroom and it was very nice. The... More

We stayed for three nights at the Imperial Rooms. We arrived late at night on the Thursday evening and we were welcomed by a friendly staff member, who spoke little English, but was very helpful. Our room was very clean, and I loved the fact that when you looked out of the window, the collesseum was right there; a fascinating... More

I live in Rome and have countless stories of friends and clients who seek accommodations. Vincenzo and his family at the Imperial Rooms are the constant solution everyone loves. A family run operation with all the amenities you would expect from people who own the store.

A few points about this hotel. Myself and my fiancé stayed there on Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday. The staffs are nice and helpful, always wiling to help. 1) There's a gay pub right below the hotel. We stayed on the second floor just above the pub. It was a nightmare for us. At every night including Monday night the... More

This hotel was really great. The rooms are as impressive as the pictures, we stayed on the first floor and had a tiny ensure bathroom which was small but sufficient. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space to unpack. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast was tasty, we never went away gungry. The location was... More

Had to return keys to desk every time left the room. Looks / feels like a gay hotel on gay street but you are not allowed to invite ANYONE back to your room - not for even 10 minutes while getting ready to go out. They must wait on the street. I invited a guest to my room - got... More

Dear Mr. Lee, customer reviews are essential for us to improve our service and grow up professionally. Unfortunately, yours is not consistent with the evaluation criteria as it is intended only to avenge a rejection for a breach of the regulations and laws. The last night of your stay, the person that you wanted to invite to your room has... More

The hotel was in an incredible spot! Amazing to walk out your door in the morning and see the magnificent Colosseum! It helps as a tourist too, as you have a giant landmark to find your way back to your hotel! The family owners were lovely and helpful, the breakfast was nice (for continental) and the rooms were comfortable if... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
