We were is a cozy litle apartment with a view of the top of the Vatican. It had a cute little kitchen that we cooked in every morning and evening. There is a grocery store within walking distance. We also enjoyed gelato from a place down on the corner. Two blocks from the metro and buses were also really close!... more

This was an unexpected gem. The people are absolutely wonderful, even upgrading us to another room having brought one extra person. They were ready with suggestions for restaurants, tours, and maps. The apartment was extremely clean and at the end of each day, tired from our day of exploring, we'd come back to made beds and a tidied kitchen. We... more

Didn't exactly know what to expect, but the room was great! Didn't expect a kitchen or balcony, but both were much appreciated. Lots of room for our 3 people, large bathroom. Location excellent for seeing the Vatican and taking the Metro for points beyond. Ended up walking far and wide, anyway. Felt totally safe and comfortable. Would stay again next... more

Stayed at this hut for 3 days. The good things: great location, waterproof roof. The dislikes: no hot water/ shower for 3 (three) days, a very slow stove, room cleaning/ cloth change only 1x/ stay. And the worst: totally arrogant attitude of the personel when informed about the mentioned problems. This place stands at the very bottom of the rank... more

Just as many others have said, this hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the Vatican, Metro and buses as well as many pizzarias and cheap eats, laundry mats and groceries. We are a 50+ year old couple and never felt unsafe walking from the metro to the hotel at night. Lot of people out and about. The rooms... more

Our family (Mom, Dad, two teens) stayed at Residence Candia for 4 nights in March, 2009. We decided to stay at the hotel because of the "three rooms apartment" which we assumed was two bedrooms and a sitting room. It was actually two bedrooms, each with "double" (between king and queen) beds, and a third bedroom that was so tiny... more

The hotel is very close to a metro stop and the Vatican. Although not the most central to the other sights in the city, we very much enjoyed the location. We stayed in a very recently remodeled room with new furniture, appliances and bathroom. The room was very clean and over looked the courtyard. The only problem with our room... more

We had a "Penthouse" for 3 days, and it was just what we wanted. As a couple on a bit of a budget but not wanting to stoop to hostels, this was a perfect place. We walked most of Rome from here, and many busses use the road just outside if your feet get tired. The room was small but... more

Due to a train strike we had to find another night in Rome. This place was very nice, and on a quiet street. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us a great rate. We had a 2 bedroom apt with a kitchenette. Large shower. Lots of amenities in the bathroom. Metro is very close and the vatican museum... more
