We had a short stay in Rome, only 4 nights and we were very pleased by the services offered by this accommodation. Marco, the owner was very kind to us from the beginning of our mail conversations regarding the booking. It was a pleasure meeting him. The room was spacious, very nice, very clean and with a private bathroom and balcony.... More

We recently stayed at Maison Genevois for 5 nights. Our first visit to Rome, the directions given made getting there easy. We bused from Ciampino Airport then on to A Metro line to Lepanto, the apartment was only then a few minutes walk away. Marco was there for our arrival, offering a warm and friendly welcome . He showed us... More

We had a lovely 3 night stay, Marco the owner was fantastic and so helpful from emailing directions and meeting us there to suggesting local places to visit and giving tips on getting around. The room was lovely, we had a great little balcony and though it was unseasonably cool and wet we enjoyed breakfast out there each day planning... More

My wife and daughter stay 11 night for a medical trip to Rome and Belgrade. Very good location. Walking distance to the Vatican. Small, convenient kitchen with very good espresso coffee machine. The breakfast was not that good and it was self served on the room. At the beginning of march there were not many people at the B&B but... More

What a wonderful place to stay when in Rome! Marco, the owner of the B&B, met us upon our arrival, and made sure we had everything we needed. Before he left, he asked us what we'd like to see & do in Rome, and gave us so many helpful hints & shortcuts so that we were able to make the... More

My wife and I stayed there 4 nights in September 2011 for our honeymoon trip, this place made our trip much happier :) Marco, the host, is very kind and patient with all kinds of questions; the local resteraunt and shop recommended by Marco are very good. The B&B location is perfect, 3 mins walking to the Metro, and ~15mins... More

We stayed there on the Easter holiday, so the price was at high season price, but other good things payed it off. First of all the guy who meets you - Marco is very kind person willing to help you in any question. We had a very plesant chat for an hour. Another good thing is that rooms are made... More

My husband & I stayed at Maison Genevois 3 B&B in April 2011. This B&B is located in an apartment building in the Prati section of Rome just north of Vatican City. It is a lovely neighborhood convenient to the Metro & 2 bus routes; the #30 bus takes you into the historic center & the #280 into Trastevere. Marco,... More

Maison Genevois is located in a very quiet and safe place in Rome, close both to Vatican and the old centre of Rome, with very convenient transport connections . The rooms are very clean and cosy and the whole place has an artistic atmosphere. The prices are very good for the quality of the accomodation and the services. The owner... More

As long as you are clear that this is a shared apartment you should find this a great place. The location is great with the Lepanto metro stop about 50 mtrs away. There are excellent eating places close by. Via Cola di Rienzo which is very close by is an excellent street for all sorts of shopping. Marco is an... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
