My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights in Chocolate. They created two twin beds that were reasonably comfortable and very soft. However it was lovely and quiet. The courtyarded villa was in fact the perfect haven behind a green door from the hustle and bustle of a veyr busy Rome. David was so welcoming and informative and we... More

We arrived late on a Thursday night and David was welcoming and incredibly helpful. We were the only guests and stayed in the Chocolate Room which was beautiful and very well equipped. Our breakfasts were fantastic, the entire B&B was chic and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great part of town - we walked everywhere and had fantastic... More

It's a beautiful, quiet location, nestled away in a quiet district of Rome. The courtyard is especially gorgeous place to relax and have a drink, or if the weather doesn't permit, in the living room. Such warm and friendly hosts. Thank you for the restaurant recommendations and help with tour suggestions.

It has been at least 7 years since I have stayed for the first time at Buonanotte Garibaldi. From then on, I keep coming back. Besides being very well located, I can not get enough of the quiet environment hidden behind the green gate: a flowered courtyard and a cosy environment. If it is an option, go for the room... More

Perfectly situated in the vibrant Trastevere locality, we arrived well after midnight to be welcomed by the wonderful David, who wears many hats & for whom nothing is too much trouble! We then met Louisa, the owner, who has been running the old family home as a stylish & chic B&B for over 10 years, living above the 3 rooms.... More

Three nights very comfortable stay just where we wanted to be with really kind owner and staff. Our stay was only spoilt by having to get up too early to catch flight back missing out on a lovely breakfast.. Fantastic bread from Lucca!

This was our first trip to Rome and after lots of research as to where to stay we decided on the Trastevere area. It was the perfect location - lots of little restaurants and shops and it was close enough to walk to all the main attractions of Rome yet still be a relaxing area to return to at the... More

My husband and I stayed here for the first 5 days of a two week trip throughout Italy. It was the highlight of my trip as I truly felt as though I was staying with a close friend and not at a hotel. Ascanio, Luisa and David were extremely helpful in all respects before we arrived, during and also after... More

This is quite difficult to review as we had a lovely stay here but at the same time I did think it was quite expensive. I accept it is unique and its difficult to put a price on that. Overall the ambience of the B&B is delightful, very clean and we made good use of the public spaces such as... More

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this bijous property recently and I am so glad I chose this spot. A little background about me, I am a designer who specialises in interiors based between Hong Kong, London and New York. Travel and hotels are part of my daily vernacular. So being away from home.. Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
