It was a very nice experience close to everything. We have been very satisfied with everything. A beautyfull place and beautyfull people. Our room Chocolatte was much bigger than it seemed on the picture on the website. We have King kong sized bed and a huge bathroom with all necessary facilities. We will defently return to Buonanotte Garibaldi again. Susanne... More

We stayed 6 nights and could have stayed for weeks more. Luisa and her staff were so kind and solicitous. My partner is in a wheelchair so we had the Tinto room on the ground floor which was well appointed and very convenient for him. The courtyard is divine and an oasis of peace and tranquility. The breakfasts were sumptuous,... More

We had the pleasure to stay 3 nights at Buenanotte Garibaldi...and it was a great start for our 2 weeks vacation in Italy. We have appreciated every minutes and aspects of this beautiful house. From the hospitality of the owner to the comfort of our room (the Tinto). Thanks for their help in our search for restaurant suggestions and even... More

We just spent 4 wonderful nights with Louisa and could not have been happier. Buonanotte Garibaldi is a beautiful, quiet oasis convenient to everything. We stayed in the Roma room which has it's own private terrace, perfect for a morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. Luisa and her team -- especially Noa -- were the perfect hosts. Can't... We had a wonderful stay at Buonanotte Garibaldi. We enjoyed very much the enchanting house in the beautiful and very well located Trastevere. Very friendly service and excellent dining recommendations by Reservations Manager, Ascanio Balbo. Breakfast and all the amenities made our stay excellent. Everything was perfect. Well appointed rooms, exquisitely decorated house with a romantic patio and terrace. An... More

I stayed at this B&B in Rome and I think it is completely overpriced! I wish I would have stayed at another hotel. I'll start with the Pros: Great location where the locals live- the rest of Roma has a ton of tourists. Travestere has a mix of locals and tourists. Can look at sites off the beaten path. The... A charming service that makes us feel at home, a beautiful roman patio with magnolias and small palm trees, and a pleasant traditional house with classical and modern decoration. This was the perfect place to be while we were in Rome.

My husband and I enjoyed a weeklong stay at Buonanotte Garibaldi in October 2014. It was his first visit to the Eternal City, my second, and we wanted a quiet, neighborhood home base from which we could explore the city on foot. What we got from Luisa and David and the rest of the lovely staff at Buonanotte Garibaldi exceeded... More

An oasis of peace and exquisite taste in Trastevere. The kindness of the welcome and the fact that there are only three rooms makes you realize very fast how privileged you are to stay there. Worth noting also that owner/hostess Luisa L. is a great silk painting artist, and that for those thus inclined, there are also beautiful textiles and... More

This perfect B&B is in a great location - right on the edge of Trastevere and within easy walking distance to lots of the major sites. The B&B itself is lovely - very stylish, good sized and immaculate rooms, and has a small courtyard garden. It is surprisingly quiet considering the location and is home to Luisa and her team... Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
