Just spent 5 nights here for Christmas. The hotel is in an excellent location to walk to all main attractions within 15-20 minutes, on a quiet safe street. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine and sets you up for a day of walking. Rooms are quiet and comfortable and you get a free safe and free wifi... More

Helpful and friendly staff. They also offered us to leave our baggage there on our last day after check out as our flight was in the evening and we wanted to spend the afternoon out. Room was nice and clean with modern bathroom. Just one thing would be worth improving and that's making a wider breakfast selection as there are... More

The Hotel is definitely well rated...starwise and by visitors. The location is very good, and the price is also very competitive. Things that could be improved...breakfast. Not an amazing selection. Coffee, croissants, toast, cereal, bread and butter. I would add some fruit to it...but as you can see... I am getty picky ;) From here you can walk pretty much... More

Just a block off the Via Nazional is the Hotel Galetea. Easy to access sights and restaurants this 2nd level three star hotel is basic but has quiet rooms, good front desk service, breakfast and a number of restaurants in the surrounding blocks. Wifi was free but best accessed from common breakfast area.

Very clean hotel. Friendly staff who are always ready to help if there is a problem or need of direction. Food is basic but more than enough your in Italy GO OUT TO EAT! Room is nice again basic but nice with a rather stylish bathroom and large shower. Also hotel is in a GREAT location for sightseeing with close... More

This is a nice hotel in a decent location, within 10-15 minutes walking distance to a lot of major sites including the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The hotel isn't anything fancy. Just a clean, comfortable space to rest your head. We found the front desk service to be excellent. We often asked for recommendations and they were... More

There is no denying that this hotel is in a great location allowing easy access to many great sites. What is lacking is customer service when problems arise. We spent our first 2 nights not sleeping and waking up feeling ill due to sewer gas in our room. Due to the hotel's size they did not have a room to... More

The hotel was allright, nothing special or fancy. The walls of the room were kind of dirty, but everything else were clean. The bathroom had a tub which were nice after a long day of walking through the city. The staff in the reception were polite and friendly when asked about the city. The breakfast was very limited.

A very well situated central Rome hotel. Located so that we walked to all the major tourist sites, even the Vatican, but that was a few miles! But very local to Colosseum and Spanish Steps etc. Hotel was interesting, a floor in a traditional Rome style apartment block, on a quite side street. Enter through large wooden doors into a... Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
