The guesthouse is very conveniently located near Termini station, what allows good access to metro and historic Rome. Colloseo is just 15 min away on foot. The guesthouse is very clean, well-equipped, with efficient air conditioning. What makes this place more special is the lovely owner Victoria, who will go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as... More

I think when these other people were writing the reviews, they were writing solely on how nice the owner, Victoria is-- which she is... but that isn't what you are paying for! You are paying for a place to sleep, to keep your things when you are gone... and when we stayed (last month) it was called a Bed and... More

We stayed here one night for easy access to the train for the airport the next morning. I agree with many of the other reviewers that Victoria, the owner, is lovely. Our room was clean and included a desk, which provided nice extra space for putting things. A/C worked well. The down side is that it is a small suite... More

Upon our return to Rome at the end of our journey, we stayed at the Principe Guesthouse. It was excellent. Host Victoria was great. The room was great. Located a few blocks from Termini in a nice, safe neighborhood. The room was most comfortable, clean with a/c and a very nice bathroom with shower. Victoria met us and saw that... More

Very clean large rooms, comfortable bed, the owner was was very helpful and welcoming. Location was good. The only negatives - can hear people in other rooms and the bathroom was very small - the shower would be difficult for a large person. But nonetheless we enjoyed our stay.

After 4 nights at Príncipe we would recommend to any traveller budget or not! Rooms are big and v.clean. Victoria is a charming host and without her we would have missed the rugby (she waited to receive our tickets for us) !!! She was charming and helpful with nothing too much trouble. Hotel is in a good location 10m from... More

My wife and I have had a nice stay in this very confortable guest house. The owner Victoria is very kind and takes care of everything is necessary to a guest. The room and the bathroom, are very clean with new furnitures and accessories: TV, air conditioned, wi fi, hairdryer, etc. There is also a useful refrigerator in the corridor... More

This is my return staying in Principe Guesthouse, the host Victoria is very nice. She asked our arrival time and waiting us down stair at 11pm! We stayed in a triple room and a twins room, rooms are basically furnished, comfortable and big enough. The bathrooms are a little bit small but very clean indeed. All stuff in room are... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
