We held a surprise gathering for a dear friend - and took 9 rooms. The staff were extremely friendly - and helped us prepare for the surprise. We spend a great long weekend in Roma (pay the Roman's some respect and call it Roma, not Rome...). The hotel was indeed comfortable and cozy- but the highlight was its location: Via... More

Great location, our room was good size and they threw in a bottle of wine as we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary .......bathroom was fine for my needs though the wife would have liked a bath rather than just (large) shower. They could and should make slightly more effort with the outside entrance- we thought initially our taxi driver... More

We have just returned from a weekend in this Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Location excellent and room very comfortable, staff very helpful and courteous. Good choice of food at breakfast although we found the hot food to be cold and therefore not very appetising. Overall a lovely boutique Hotel with excellent attention to detail. More

Stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 5 years and its an Oasis of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of Rome. This is a lovely boutique hotel so its not the big grand multi room hotels you find elsewhere in Rome, but thats the beauty of it, it perfectly located down a quiet street just off the... More

Stayed in this hotel last August and we were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Rooms well appointed, alhtough a bit on the small side (as with all rooms on Rome). Food in the restaruant was excellent and service second to none. It was my wifes 40th birthday during our stay and Hotel... More

We stayed for the first 5 nights of our trip. Overall the hotel is ok and not a bad location in Rome if you like a good walk (as we do) as all the main sights are easily walkable, and some nice restaurants are nearby. Good - stayed in a deluxe room at a good early-bird rate. Room was pretty... More

We travel a lot and are pretty picky, so trust me with this recommendation. I'm not sure I got the greatest feel for this city in just 3 days but it seemed to be a perfect location. This is an excellent choice. Room was nice, and had space for luggage. Bedding nice, bathroom new and clean. The breakfast was pretty... More

I spent 3 solid days researching every hotel in Rome to get the best location with a spa and breakfast included for around £150 per night or under. I found this hotel and managed to get the best price through lastminute.com with 20% off in their sale. (i found www.hotelscombined.com best for shaving the price off places since this sale... More

We have just returned from a long weekend in Rome and I felt compelled in the light of some of the recent scathing reviews of the St George to write one based on our own experience of staying there, particularly as we got a little concerned when we saw those bad reviews just before we set off for Rome.
