1- Hotel reception desk is not as pictures show it. It is on ground floor and does not look anything like that. 2- Entrance gate has broken glass to which you need to stick your hand through, yes through, to unlock the gate. 3- The amount of exposed wiring in the building is unbeliveable as well as a major fire... more

This hotel was basic, corridors shabby, but the rooms clean and very comfortable beds. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was basic continental, delivered to your room. The hotel is central - near to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. If you want somewhere just to put your head down, this is it. more

We have just returned from a week at the Hotel Doge. It is not one of the best hotels we've seen in Italy -- the walls of the room were dirty, the A/C released water into a plastic bottle multiple times in the middle of the night. You can not open the window because there is building opposite and the... more

Just came back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. If you are looking for location, then this is the best place to stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.Same cant be said for the breakfast serving lady who was very grumpy but that was just a minor inconvenience. You can walk to all the major tourist attractions from this... more

I've booked this hotel a few days ago (after reading multiple reviews on this site) and stayed there for a night with my family. It is one of the worst hotels we've seen in Italy -- the walls of the room were dirty, the A/C released water in a plastic barrel multiple times in the middle of the night and... more

I would suggest this hotel, because it is in a very good location and because it is very clean. Be aware, that it is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building, which surprised me at first. For me it was worth it. more

My time at this hotel was great. It was so close to everything that I only had to take a cab twice....once to get to the hotel and the other was to get back to the airport. I got a single room although the view from the window was dismal, I didn't mind since I was out exploring the city... more

We made very last minute reservations at the Doge and got a very nice room for 150 euros. The elevator was broken so we had to carry our heavy bags up many stairs but the room was very recently renovated with new tile and new furniture. It smelled new and clean. Air conditioning is extra but we didn't need it.... more

This hotel has the perfect location near the Spanish Steps. The front desk staff were extremely helpful but the breakfast serving staff was awful. The breakfast room was always very quiet because the woman serving had a terrible attitude. The breakfast was minimal with sweet buns, coffee, tea, packaged toasts with nutella. The server would be guarding her sweet bun... more
