- Doge Hotel Rome

Not worthy of the name 'Hotel' more like a very poor hostel. Lift not working. Filthy hotel. No lounge to sit in. No ice available. Avoid.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location was fantastic, I think it would be hard to find such a well priced hotel in a similar location. Our room was pretty basic and no frills but it did the job and the bed was comfortable. It was very noisy due to the main street below. The service at...

It is very hard to find a conveniently located hotel in Rome for an affordable price. Hotel Doge certainly fit that bill but we were concerned of what we would find there. The location is indeed fantastic, no more than 5 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps).
When we checked in, we were...

The room is not like it's pictured in the advertisement! One thing i really took into consideration after booking this room for the rest of my 2 week European trip is "DON'T SACRIFICE A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP FOR LOCATION & TO SAVE $20-$30!! The rooms are old, musty smell, carpet is filthy with stains, didn't even want to walk on...

Totally positive about this hotel: - great location - clean rooms and bathrooms - friendly staff - value for money (although watch the extra charge for room tax!) - good breakfast My only complaint is that the room was very cold at times as the heater in the room was broken.
I went with my mum and thouroughly enjoyed every experience. The hotel was easy to find, attached to another The Firenze, Receptionist very helpful. It was strangly set out but the room on the 1st floor was big enough for the both of us. It actually had 3 beds in. Very clean, apart from a stain on the carpet. The...

I always stay at this hotel when in Rome. But, if you are a typical North American traveller, you have to alter your expectations. What I am looking for is a clean room and a private bath; I spend very little time in my hotel and have little need of all the useless amenities. This hotel is in an excellent...

This hotel has nothing to do with the description and pictures on the hotel web site.
The room was VERY small - there was no curtain (!), so we used one of the (tacky) towels. We had to ask for shampoo and toilet paper.
Sleeping was basically impossible - bed and pillow apparently made of straw - very hard and...

Great Location, 5 mins from Spanish Steps and 5-10 mins from Trevi Fountain, Via Vento with its nice restaurents/bars was 10 min walk, All the sights were within walking distance. The hotel is just a lobby with a bad staircase to an average room, but the price is cheap and if all you want is to see the sights in...
