This hotel is a gem! It's located close to the train station and a short walk to major monuments. Renato provides an excellent map from the station to the hotel (its a short walk, 7 minutes or so). Renato was even waiting for us outside when we first arrived! Renato was so helpful in making recommendations about where to eat,... More

We stayed at Cernaia for four nights in June and enjoyed it overall. We were most impressed with the cleanliness. Our room (the blue room) was spotless and was cleaned by Giselle everyday. We travelled for a month and stayed at lots of different Bed and Breakfasts and Cernaia had the best air conditioning and wifi by far. Rome is... More

I have the impression that judgment is made by comparing this structure to Rome in high season so paying the price for the high season with another structure in a sea area where for the same period is low season and at the same price is a beautiful structure. Obviously the reverse case whether now in August that it is... More

I notice the last review called this a hotel, it is a bed and breakfast. I booked this well in advance via Expedia, Renato emailed me to confirm details and explained the checking in process. OK this is a small B&B in a central location, it looks like an older private residence turned into 5 bedrooms, you enter via two... More

I have to start out by saying I booked this hotel because of the reviews on here - mainly the ones that mentioned how Renato met them on the street to check them in. So needless to say, it was exceptionally disappointing when not only was no one on the street when we arrived...no one was at the B&B at... More

Title: punishment really huge !! Yes we arrived 15 minutes late it is true! I did not pay the first night for my mistake (human) 79 € Despite my apologies I think that if he could have shot me ... I do not comment! The towles are left to keep the shower clean and dry and have never been dirty... More

My mom and I started at Cernaia for a week and could not have been happier. The owner, Renato, was so nice, accommodating, and helpful. Just as other reviewers reported, he was waiting outside the building to meet us when we arrived from the airport and provided us with information about the city. We received our own sets of keys... We stayed here for 3 days and we were very very pleased. They bring a continental breakfast to your room every day, and the rooms are clean and feel fresh. But the best part is the owner. Renato spend nearly an hour with us helping us plan our trips each day, recommending some great places and telling us to stay... More

Nice little hotel with very personal service. Renato mapped out routes we can take, recommended supermarkets and gave us advice about keeping safe around Rome. It was fantastic being able to have breakfast in bed. A little tray gets bought up to your room with toast/crackers and jams, fresh croissants and a hot drink of your choice. You get provided... After I booked this room, I received a personal email from its owner Renato asking me questions about my bedding needs and my arrival time. When I arrived at the hotel, Renato was downstairs on the street waiting for me! When does that ever happen!?!?! This is a just one example of the outstanding service you will receive at Cernaia.... On our first trip to Rome, we chose this B and B and could not have been more pleased. Renato is an excellent host!!! He spent quite a long time giving us recommendations based on the amount of time we had. We listened to his advice and picked up sandwiches at the local market and picnicked in wonderful locations for... More

My husband and I stayed at Cernaia Suites in Rome for 5 days in April 2014. We loved the quaint, personal, bed and breakfast on a quiet street. Renato was the perfect host, so helpful with advice to make our visit the best it could be. You just can't get this level of service in the States. It was so... More
