Booked this at the last minute despite the poor reviews as we planned for a 10 day Swiss-Italy trip on the fly ! We reached at 9pm after a tiring trip from Florence and Pisa. The front desk had given directions on the phone when I had called in the afternoon. Still it did take some time to locate the hotel.. At the reception the girls kept discussing for some time. Was not sure whether it was about our booking or something else.. One of them then took us to the other building where they said the room is. It was a 5 minute walk. We were prepared for the worst due to the poor reviews. When we saw the family room we were pleasantly surprised. It was large with a king sized bed and 2 singe ones. The bathroom was also spacious and everything in working condition. Apparently we were on the Luxury floor. I guess it's a building where some of the houses are rented as hotel rooms. Whatever, we had good rest that night and the rest of the stay. AC was working plus we had a fan. Didn't care about the TV and breakfast as we had a tight schedule for all the days stayed. Overall pleasantly surprised with the hotel as well as the front desk team as they offered and gave good inputs for the sight seeing.

Walked here from La Storta (we’re walking the Via Francigena). They charged us before we got our room. The gal that checked us in was a rag. Walked into our room and had no towels and no pillowcases. The young assistant gal tried to tell me the pillow had cases on it. They blamed it on their laundry service. 5 hours later and after calling Booking.com we got towels and pillowcases. We have yet to shower or sleep- I’m writing this prematurely but soooo angry. It’s our last night of walking 1000 kilometers of the Via and we are dealing with this. Horrible experience. There are so many rooms in Rome that there is ZERO reason to stay here!!!! Beware.

+ The rooms were clean and tidy, if the air conditioning worked, it would be better, but they tried to give us the fans. - the room has no window? - really small shower - breakfasts are not in the hotel - you have to go 500m to some restaurant - Coffee into a plastic beer cup

The hotel is around 15 min from the Vatican. The reception is open only few hours a day and the second reception is open more time but it's 10min away from there. You need to have 3 keys to open the doors and reach your room. In the room you will not find a plug to charge your phone/video camera. You need to charge it in the toilet where some remodeling must be done. It's not noisy but this hotel needs to be remodel. You have a fridge in the room maybe to have some food since even if the breakfast is offered, you need to walk around 10min to arrive to the restaurant Rendez Vous and eat it. Do not expect big quality because you will not have it. Only to sleep the night is ok but I think you can find better for same price.

This place is one to avoid at any cost. After a long flight, we had to wait for hours to get the room type we booked and paid for. The management were confrontational, unwilling to help and told lies. On the web sites it seems like a nice place, but believe you me......Just look at it on the web, and find another place to stay. This is very sad, as it is ideally located for sightseeing, the red bus and down town strolls......But look further, you can only do better

There was a huge lack of communication between management and staff. The hotel is separated into three different locations. The rooms are in two buildings close by and then reception is about a good 5-7 blocks away. They have a "reception" in one of the buildings but the girl doesn't arrive to work until 3pm so if you want to check-in early, just don't. it's not worth the headache. The whole check-in experience was a bit frustrating overall. I would suggest speaking with the hotel about your arrival time and sticking with it because they are not very flexible and their English is basic. Their attitudes reflected one of great customer service but the execution was terrible. I don't know if it was it better to speak Spanish or English because, in all the attempts that were made, we all got lost with the translation several times. I don't recommend eating at their restaurant, it wasn't very good besides the breakfast. Breakfast was pretty good. The lady let us have all the coffee we wanted. I think it ordering papa john's pizza back home was better than the pizza at their restaurant. Overall, their prices are low because the quality is a bit low. The location is great but the rooms reflect what they pictures show. I guess it's true what they say, You get what you pay for.

I will never in my life stay at this place ever again! Was a terrible way to end our honeymoon! We arrived and it was as if they did not expect us. Waited long to get keys to the room and eventually they said that the room is not ready after waiting for nearly an hour. They then sent us to another building 2 blocks away. And those rooms was not to bad. Waited there for about 20min for a Indian guy to clean it. We went in to rest a bit after a long trip. While we were sleeping they (manager) phoned us and said we cant stay in that room anymore now we need to move again to the previous "hotel" what a joke!!! They are unorganized unfriendly and the place is not taken care of at all! It feels dirty! In the room they made us stay in for the 3rd time ... the towels was torn and full of stains. The bedding was dirty , torn and there was hair on it. How grossly that made us feel! You cant do anything due to the fact that you paid before hand. Please guys if you go to Rome stay away from this place. The pics on google is not what you will find when you get there!!!!

Breakfast was rather simple, which is quite normal for Italian hotels. Location is very convenient. Owners were friendly and helpful; we could store our luggage for a couple of hours in a secured room. Arriving late in the night was not a problem.

The hotel is localized in a good spot if you're hanging out at the Vatican a lot, a bit far from Rome's main attractions. Room is average, there's no one at the reception at any point in time, there's just a woman who comes and goes, wifi is horribly slow, I would recommend it to someone who doesnt care much about any of the complaints made by me and other reviewers, it isn't horrible, it's just not good.

I arrived 30th November to find The room temp. was 14 degrees and the windows open. I requested help to bring the temp up. 2 people came, inc. 'an engineer' at 1.am, and said all was well, when in fact the temp never rose above 16 and I had to sleep in my clothes. The following day I asked to change rooms, and found the same problem, added to which the telephone didn't work, so there was no way of getting to the so-called "reception", which was in a different building -3 blocks away. I decided to leave and asked for my money to be returned for the second night - which I hadn't used:- request refused, Asked to see "the Manager" - a person, patently not the manager, speaking no English and obviously a friend of the receptionist, turned up and another receptionist, saying the real Manager wasn't available, asked for his telephone no and address, which was refused.. This was all witnessed by the person who had come to collect me and took one hour. In fact I lost half a day of my two days, attempting to resolve the problems in the hotel.
