My husband and I stayed at Aldebaran B&B twice during our two week trip to Italy in October 2015. Laura greeted us and offered us some coffee and even some food! She was very nice and we had fun chatting with her in the morning when having our breakfast. The place is very nice, clean and quite large. We had... More

Laura is a fantastic host who treats you as family and creates a home away from home. Aldebaran is a very comfortable B&B in a great location. The coliseum is a short walk although Aldebaran is in a quiet street. This is the second time we have stayed with Laura and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at Aldebaran for 5 nights, and we have never felt more welcome and at home in any other hotel or B&B. Laura takes care of her guests so friendly and considerately. Her house is a safe and nicely decorated place to stay. The beds were very good, we slept perfectly after our long walks through Rome. Breakfast is... More

We enjoyed our 5 nights with Laura. This was our last and longest stop on our trip to Italy. Laura place was comfortable and safe. We arrived much later than she expected us and we knew that she had been waiting but she accepted our apologizes and did only the minimum check in needed to get us to our rooms... More

My wife and I stayed at the Aldebaran Bed & Breakfast for 3 nights prior to embarking on a Mediterranean cruise. We couldn't have been happier with the choice. The hotel is reasonably near the main Train station in Rome (Termini). We chose to take the train from the airport to Termini (Leonardo Express) and then walk to the B&B.... More

We booked this accommodation based on the reviews on tripadvisor. However, to our greatest disappointment, this is simply not the place for us. Before arrival, we dropped an email to Laura that we will be coming from Orvieto. Upon arrival, we were received in the coldest possible manner, I was shocked as I have read positive reviews about Laura, just... More

Before planning our trip to Rome I checked Tripadvisor to find a good B&B which was located close to the train station. I came across the Aldebaran and after reading all the positive reviews decided to book this B&B for one night. And indeed all the reviews are true! This is definitely a very cosy, 'homy' B&B in the midst... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
