Aldebaren is in a great location in Rome, yet in a very quite non-tourist neighborhood. The room was a nice size with a comfortable queen bed. The host Laura was very friendly and helpful with directions for Metro and placement of the important historical sites and museums. The Colosseum was a quick 2 stop bus ride or 20 minute walk... When deciding on our Rome B&B we were keen to find somewhere away from the centre of town where it would be quieter and less touristy. Alderbaran was perfect for this; in a quiet side street but still only 5 mins walk to the Metro and 15 min walk to the Colleseum. We were greeted warmly by Laura (and Rumba... More

Location - nearby Manzoni metro station, very qiuet and nice quarter - local people, Colosseuim in walking distance, also not far from Termini station, though I don't recommend to walk from Termini, cause the area around the station is not very pleasant Place - clean, comfortable, equipped with modern furniture with very good style Breakfast - fruits, yoghurt, croissant, toast,... A nicely refurbished house in a quiet street somewhat out of the town middle but with easy access tot public transport. Cosy and with character, you are really welcome in Laura's house. No question too much, the answers quick an adequate. We'll recommend Aldebaran to our family and friends! More

My wife and I just finished a three day stay at Aldebaran after staying in B&Bs and small hotels in Rome, Siena, and Florence. Believe the reviews. This is a fantastic B&B! Laura greeted us on day one and immediately sat down with us to map out our visit, explain the Metro, explain the buses, and recommend restaurants in specific... More

The owner, Laura is a very friendly and welcoming lady. We greatly appreciate her advices for moving around in Rome. She suggested that we visit St. Peter's Basilica before going to Vantica Museum to skip the lines and she was right. There was no queue when we got to the museum at 2pm, as most tour groups would have left.... More

Friendly! Warm! Wonderful! Homey! Convenient! We stayed with Laura in her beautiful home, along with several other international guests, for 5 nights in March 2012. This inviting B and B is located a good 15 minute walk from Termini Train Station, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our room and bathroom were beautiful, fresh, clean and spacious. The 12 foot ceilings,... More

This was just the perfect place to stay in Rome. The situation is very good, at 5 minutes walk from the metro station. And 15 minutes walk from the coliseum. The house and the room are very confortable. Very nice and big room where we immediately felt at home. Laura is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.... More

We, as many others, got tempted by the excessive amount of high reviews Aldebaran and her hostess, Laura, received over the years. It was well deserved! The breakfast was complete and could be adjusted according to each one's taste. Laura was always glad to help us planning our trip, including side tips regarding restaurants, less obvious sight-seeing etc. The room... More
