Shower was a tube looking thing...i felt like i was in stark trek. It was not ideal because it was cold and this made it worse because you could not put your towel inside because it would get wet. Strange hotel and shower. It was cheap and we were mostly out. Great sleep though. Comfy bed.

Just a few minutes walk from the main station. It's right opposite the opera house and fairly easy to find (although we did walk past the main door twice-look for the street number rather than the name). We were met by pleasant and helpful staff. The room is comfortable but small and there are coffee/tea facilities just a few feet... More

My wife and I stayed here in January 2016 for 2 nights and were very happy with our stay. Check in was quick and easy, with the receptionist speaking excellent English. After check in he helped us to our room which was on the first floor. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the train station, only about... More

Rooms where absolutely tiny, didn't have enough room to open two suitcases and get past one another. The shower was so small you couldn't wash yourself. Our window was onto a residential balcony, so we didn't feel safe to open our window for some fresh air. Oh and the room was damp. One staff was very friendly and helpful the... More

The truth is that I didn't expect to love this hotel! I will begin with the stuff who are so helpful and kind. After we finished with the reception we went to the room. But before that I will make a notice for the elevator! Old school guys! Like the ones I watch in the movies! Great! So the room.... More

Dear Ioanna, Your nice positive review honored us! Our elevator is a big success because it likes to many persons for his antique style. The rooms overlook the theater and are highlighted by the presence of handmade furniture of value, precious curtains, you have looked those details! We are very glad that you appreciated our bathrooms in Bisazza mosaics, equipped... More

Our family of 6 stayed here in 3 rooms for 5 nights coming from New Zealand. We were able to book 3 rooms due to the hotel being amazing value. I can't say enough about this boutique hotel. Was in a perfect location for all of our sight seeing needs and very easy to find. Easy walk to all major sights and had plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. I stayed here with my partner in December and the rates we got were amazing as December is definitely quieter in Rome than the Spring/Summer months. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and kept the reception open until 1am for us to check-in as I let them know we would be arriving late. There is an original old... More

I am a large guy and typically the showers in some of the smaller hotels would be a hassle for me but this was perfect. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
