Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Right near the metro terminal which was very easy to use but make sure you have change! Room was excellent and continental breakfast was delivered 9.00am prompt to our room each morning! Air con was very much appreciated! Staff were very helpful and the antique lift was a lovely feature of the hotel!

The room we stayed in faced the street which was great for the light but a bit noisy if you opened the windows, but it's Rome….It was smallish but had everything we needed. We were just passing through town so our location across from the opera house was chosen because of it's proximity to the Termini station and for this... More

Our room was clean, great bathroom, and check-in was easy. Nice big window was appreciated as well. The location worked very well for us, walkable from Termini and not too far from most major sites. We loved the cafe downstairs that they suggest (particularly their American breakfast! for all the walking we did it was nice to have a little... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Al Viminale Hill. We were in Rome for 4 nights and spent most of our days out and about. The perks! Very close to the train station which was great when we had to leave for Florence, very clean, friendly reception who with an email before arrival can organize transportation from the... More

My partner and I enjoyed a few nights here. The hotel is perfectly located for the buses travelling to and from the airport and whilst only a few minutes walk away you do need to keep your eye out for the entrance as it is easy to miss. The building is peculiar - in a good way - as it... More

Situated immediately opposite the opera and central to most tourist locations in Rome this was a real positive experience but it is different. The room is comfortable and kept very clean with the ensuite being a complicated shower and "spa'' in the bedroom with a separate toilet and washhand basin. Outside the room there is a small kitchen area with... More

We stayed in the loft apartment at Hotel Viminale. It was modern decor with cool lighting. My kids (12&15) loved the loft. The place was clean, but very cheaply put together and smaller than internet pictures would have you believe. To sleep 4 there is a double bed in the loft and a pull out sofa downstairs. Both beds seemed... More

We decided to take on Al Viminale Hill Inn & Hotel, looking for a good hotel on via Viminale which we find a perfect touristic base. The hotel fully met our expecations. Located in old building, opposite Teaotro di Opera, 7 minutes from Terimini station and very close to city center attractions ( still in waling distance ) and Reppublica... More

Lovely boutique hotel opposite Opera House. Welcoming host. Very clean room with stylish fittings. Complimentary tea/coffee in shared kitchen area. Good choice of restaurants & supermarket just down the street.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
