Al Viminale Inn was very central when we stayed in Rome. It was a 5 minute walk from the Termini - which is the central transport point. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with a very useful map of Rome and a voucher to get a free small pizza each from a little takeaway nearby.... More

Great hotel hidden away in the centre of Rome. Staff were very helpful and friendly. After being greeted we were wary of the old fashioned wooden lift, however it works as it should and was a bit of a novelty. Rooms were large, clean with a very large TV, DVD player, Air-con and a very Modern double sink bathroom with... More

Very happy with this hotel. Clean, great view (requested opera house view), very secure, large tv placed well infront of large bed, excellent modern bathroom. Even a tv in the bathroom mirror! Well located near termini.

Arrived at this hotel mid July for a long weekend with my boyfriend. Would definitely pay for transfers as the coach drops everyone off by the train station which is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The receptionists were very welcoming and helpful at all times. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The location of the hotel... More

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights together with my girlfriend for a weekend-city-break in November. (Yes, we visited Rome in November and the weather was pretty nice - around 20°C sunshine during the entire stay :) ). My husband and I recently stayed in this hotel for three nights and we absolutely loved it! We honestly were not expecting much but were very pleased with their service. Such a lovely hotel in a great location, a few minutes walk from the Termini station for the metro and airport transfers and an easy walk to the main tourist attractions (note the Trevi Fountain is currently being restored so expect scaffolding and no water). Our room was lovely, welll furnished with a comfortable kingsize bed.. The separate bathroom mixed... More

The Hotel is unique but charming. I would highly recommend it for a great place to stay in Rome. I would not recommend it for young children though. Breakfast in nearby cafes worked well for us. I liked the coffee and tea community kitchen concept. It was a lovely experience.

Location is excellent. very central. Hotel very clean and all rooms were nice, well kept and attractive. elevator is very old - using hinged doors and outer gate door. Unique feature which I like but may cause inconvenience for some. Staff was very helpful.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
