We stayed at Porta Pia for five nights in August 2014 and had a lovely holiday. When you walk down Via Messina, you might be forgiven for thinking the hotel has gone, but it hasn't! Since the building was refurbished, they are no longer allowed to put a sign up outside advertising their presence. Instead you have to find their... More

I had stayed here with my parents before but I came here for my honeymoon. One of the front desk guys is dreamy. Another told us to take our room key when we left for the evening and yelled at us for taking it when we got back:( But the dreamy guy was awesome and polite and fixed our safe... More

This hotel is a very good option for a nice staying in Rome: centric (Metro Station Castro Pretorio is 10 min away walking), good price and excellent service by its staff! Also, you can find Via Borghese park near. It also has free wifi, A/C and nice rooms. Recommended!

Small hotel with small rooms located in a living building. Meanwhile, I have nothing to say against the hotel. Good location to explore Rome, walking distance to some of main places to see. You may reach all other places by bus 62. To finalize...nothing special, there are dozens of similar hotels in the city and Porta Pio hotel is one... More

My husband and I stayed in room 3 for 4 nights and it was very good for the price. The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The night time concierge was very patient with us as we would come back late in the night from sight seeing and he would tend to our demands (for ice and water mostly).... More

I was travelling with a group of friends and our room was laid out as such - three single beds all in a row - and not that comfortable. We had a number of issues - firstly the air con was on a 'go slow' and hence needed to leave on to cool room down all the time. We then... More

The hotel location is very good, it is not too far from the city center and a bus stop is in 200 meters far from the hotel. The bus goes to the city center and Vacitan directly. Staff helps to organize you sightseeing tour or everything what you want. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the coffee... More

Hotel Porta Pia is a small, family-run hotel in North Rome. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help and answer questions. Great location near Termini Station: quick cab ride for when you have your bags, walking distance for when you're out and about. Hotel is in a residential neighborhood, so it's nice to walk around at night... More

It was good value for money as we were just passing through Rome for three nights. However the room was quite small and wasn't central enough. Most of the staff were friendly except for one who was quite rude and not helpful. Was an average place to stay however it had character.
