We stayed at the Tre Suites hotel for one night on our return to Rome after a week in Florence and Venice. We chose the hotel because it sounded small and charming. And it didn't disappoint.
It is located in Pinciano, a very upmarket area of Rome, just north of the Borghese gardens and a short bus ride (the area is serviced by three different bus routes) into the city centre.
The hotel occupies part of old apartment block, and is accessed via a secluded rear courtyard garden, lined with bamboo and banana palms.
We chose the Neoclassical suite, which was large and overlooked the garden. There was a small sitting area complete with two Art Deco armcharis beside the bed, which was dressed with expensive linen bed sheets, The adjacent ensuite bathroom, with a lovely pale green handpainted finish on the walls, was also generous and well-equipped, although the shower is a hand-held affair over the bathtub which won't suit everyone.
