This hotel was selected by our travel guide as part of our package. I would not send my worst enemy here! Talk about a dream vacation interrupted... We are a party of six and stayed for three nights. I should say there nightmares. I switched rooms because the original room reeked of stale cigarettes. Another one of our party switched... More

We were a group of Pilgrims on a journey to see Rome and all of her fantastic sites. This hotel offered a easy walk to the Vatican and easy access to the Bus system. The rooms were nice and they were clean! They had a safe in the room and a hot shower every morning. For those who have complained... More

We arrived as a group for a 7 night stay at this hotel. After spending one full week here I would say the best feature is it's location. A 5 minute walk to St. Peter's Square and the Vatican was a great bonus. The surrounding area offered many useful amenities - wonderful restaurant in front of the hotel, convenient full... More

As standby flyers we never really know where we are going until the last minute. We had less than 30 minutes to find a room in a place we had never been to before losing internet access. We booked this room and hoped for the best. Our most important criteria is clean and safe accommodations, the rest is fluff! Although... More

This hotel not only has a confident location 5 minutes from the Vatican, but excellent, cozy rooms with great climate control, lots of natural light, free wifi, and a friendly staff. It is a great deal for the price. We stayed at several other hotels over the years in Rome, and this one is absolutely the best VDRAKE for the... More

Very conveniently located near vatican. Very comfortable. Only problem, no lift. If you stay on the 2nd floor you need to be prepared to walk up with heavy load. They had someone to carry the luggage up. But had to carry it down ourselves when checking-out. But stay is value for money.

This hotel is walking distance from the Vatican. The room is basic but it was clean and we had a working a/c and a private bathroom. The room rate included breakfast which was a great bonus. The breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, croissants, cold cuts and cheeses. They also had corn flakes and bread rolls. It was good because we... More

My family and I (Husband, myself, 21 year old and 18 year old) stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions on the same trip. The first time was for 2 days at the start of our vacation (June 20-21). After the long flight from JFK we were anxious to get to the hotel and get a shower. Check in... More

Good hotel within walking distance of the Vatican with a rooftop terrace overlooking the dome of St. Peter's. Very nice reservation agent, front desk staff, attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and patient with email reservations and questions. Will arrange car pickup from FCO to hotel and return, tour tickets, dinner reservations/recommendations, etc. Very good value in a very expensive city, includes breakfast.

Location of the hotel is very good, close to Vatican and to city center. There wasn't an elevator and the rooms were old furnished. It is expensive for its amenities. Breakfast was quite good but nothing concerning room's price.
