Your rating of this hotel will truly depend on 'who you are.' The folks here were quite nice and tried always to help us but there were times of great difficulty communicating as our Italian was not good and their English was limited to one person who was trying hard. The hotel is literally on top of an underground stop... More

Hotel Laura in Rome takes 3 star rating to a new low. Firstly don't expect a hotel but a room on the 4th floor of a mixture between offices and flats. The lady at reception refuses to speak anything either than Italian even after I made the effort to chat to her through google translate she does not have the... More

Located at the top of the metro exit stairs you can't fault the access. You will need the metro to get into the centre. The hotel feels like it was decorated in the mid 90's and is now starting to get shabby at the edges. It's clean enough, and the bedding & towels where changed daily. The double room is... More

The ac in the room didn't work the first night, thus we couldn't sleep at all because Rome was at 27 degrees celcius. We asked at the reception the day after if they could fix it, they did, but sometimes when we came to our room it had been shut off so our room was boiling. The wi-fi didn't work... More

We booked Hotel Laura as a group of 7 and just wanted something cheap and cheerful to house us whilst we explored what Rome has to offer. It was very easy to find, extremely close to the metro (Bologna station just outside) which can take you to all the main attractions. The hotel is situated on the fourth and fifth... More

I've stayed here for 4 nights in May this year. The rooms are basic but clean - the change the towel everyday. The metro line is near the door of the block where the hotel is. The staff is helpful. The breakfast is ok an the coffee is very good.

Hotel is OK, staff is quite helpful, but a bit rough in manners. Big problem: Internet is very, very bad and they don't understand that it is a service they are supposed to provide. They also don't seem to be ready for international guests. Be aware that the hotel just occupies a floor in a building that is also used... More

The hotel is situated next to the subway exit. That's a huge advantage. Hotel stuff is nice. I wish the room would be cleaner (daily changed sheets) and some English speaking stuff. A huge lack was the internet connection in the room. My room was right next to the lobby but still I couldn't get internet at the 99% of... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2014

The hotel is in a block of flats - at the 4th and 5th level. It is 10 m far from the Bologna metro station. 10-15 min walk far from the train station Roma Tirbutina ( direct confection to Roma Fuimicion Airport). The room is clean and very good bed. Very nice and clean bathroom. The breakfast contains mainly sweets.... More
