We booked this B&B for a one night stop in Rome at the beginning and at the end of our 9-day road trip in Italy. We wanted something good and reasonably priced close to Termini so that we could pick up our rental car the next day of our arrival. GREAT location, just a straight walk from Termini, and the... The B&B is good, but do not take the airport transfer. I was alone and arriving late, but the driver was almost an hour late and did not carry a sign with my name. I had to call the reception at the B&B to find him. Then the driver could not find the B&B. The rate for the transfer was... More

I was right on target when I stayed at Aelius. I wanted a safe, clean, quiet and reasonably priced accommodation near the Termini. Aelius was all that and surprisingly, more. The staff also were so professional and very helpful and friendly. There is no central place for eating but Breakfast was served in my room, and there was coffee and... More

Stayed here for 1 night after a cruise, waiting to catch our flight home. The owner and staff couldn't be nicer and accommodating, even helping us carry our very heavy suitcases up 1 flight of stairs. Elevator is one flight up from ground floor. For one night, it was great. Unless you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't see myself... More

my wife and I spent two days here in October of this year. We had been here two years ago and love it. It remains a great place to stay. We were preparing for a cruise after spending eight days In Sorrento. It is about 3 blocks from Termini railway station so It is great for cruisers going to the... More

We loved our stay at the Aelius B&B. The room was big and spacious, very modern with daily towels change. The staff was very nice and friendly. We asked if it was possible to have breakfast in our room and they brought a kettle and the breakfast in our room on daily basis. We... More

visited august 2014 for 3 nights, reviews were good and we needed good accommodation at a good price. I would safely say we got just that! Position is great for all tourist spots, as you have termini and republica within 5mins by foot, which will take you anywhere via metro or bus. Each trip will cost you 1.50euro for however... More

I would have rated this place "excellent" but it is supposed to be a Bed & Breakfast. So the room was very nice, clean, tastefully decorated (see my review for Dream Station), and if you want to stay near Termini, I'd recommend this B&B (see my review for Dream Station). The shower was good, clean bathroom. The host welcomed us... More

We've been staying at the Aelius B&B for several years. Besides, the convenient location to Termini Train Station & nice clean modern rooms, the personnel has always been very friendly, helpful & professional. I'd like to acknowledge, Paulo's above and beyond service. I had originally requested a 2 nite stay. Unfortunately, there was only one night available. I booked the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
