We were preparing for a cruise after spending eight days In Sorrento. It is about 3 blocks from Termini railway station so It is great for cruisers going to the... More

We loved our stay at the Aelius B&B. The room was big and spacious, very modern with daily towels change. The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was italian style :) (coffee,the,juice,toast,butter,jam,cornflakes,yogurt..) We asked if it was possible to have breakfast in our room and they brought a kettle and the breakfast in our room on daily basis. We... More

visited august 2014 for 3 nights, reviews were good and we needed good accommodation at a good price. I would safely say we got just that! Position is great for all tourist spots, as you have termini and republica within 5mins by foot, which will take you anywhere via metro or bus. Each trip will cost you 1.50euro for however... More

I would have rated this place "excellent" but it is supposed to be a Bed & Breakfast. So the room was very nice, clean, tastefully decorated (see my review for Dream Station), and if you want to stay near Termini, I'd recommend this B&B (see my review for Dream Station). The shower was good, clean bathroom. The host welcomed us... More

We've been staying at the Aelius B&B for several years. Besides, the convenient location to Termini Train Station & nice clean modern rooms, the personnel has always been very friendly, helpful & professional. I'd like to acknowledge, Paulo's above and beyond service. I had originally requested a 2 nite stay. Unfortunately, there was only one night available. I booked the... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms are very clean and the bed comfortable. It is well located just a short walk from Termini. As previous customers have said the breakfast is limited but adequate. We were impressed by the security aspects of 3 locking doors, the laptop and the fridge in the room - essential for cold drinks in... We were quite impressed with this B&B: the rooms were well made, in a secure building and just about 5 mins walk from the Termini. Though I must say it's a little hard to find at first if you don't know where you are looking. Fortunately for us we happened to run into Maria - the owner, who then showed... More

I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was beautifully furnished and had aircon which was essential in the Roman heat! The ensuite was fab and looked newly done up. Room was really clean and there was a laptop in the room which was a brilliant amenity to have available to me. Breakfast options were somewhat limited but service was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
