a very pleasant suprise, after seeing some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive,we stayed on the 6th floor, large balcony, and bedroom good size bathroom,a bit run down here and there but clean, quiet, and the staff were helpful, polite and friendly, we had to buy a couple of utensils [very cheaply] at the nearby carrefour supermarket [open 24/7]... I stayed here for 6 nights to attend a workshop in Rome. Let me start of by saying that this was not a 5 star hotel, maybe not even a 1. That being said, it does have some characteristics that might make it attractive to some. So I will just sum up the pros and cons and let you decide.... More

Alright, I must admit at first I was highly disappointed in this establishment because it didn't meet my expectations aesthetically, or in terms of amenities. After a late flight that landed in Rome around midnight and a 40 minute taxi ride we were dropped off in what felt like the middle of nowhere. However, when the shock wore off we... More

Horrible time here. Rude reception desk, maids steal from you, maids smoke in the building, kitchens don't work, dishes are disgusting, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would never recommended this place to anyone. Even when the maids would come clean 6 days a week, the place was still gross!

I am staying here for studying abroad and I have to say this place does not fit the price tag. If you're American, good luck because the front desk is absolutely horrible. They act as though you are bothering them even if you have a genuine problem! Oh but if you are Italian or from anywhere else, welcome to the... More

Stayed here while on a study abroad. The apartment style living was certainly exciting for a group of college students who had just spent a few days crammed in tiny little hotel rooms in Athens. The apartments varied in size and number of bedrooms, so families looking to stay here have some options. My personal apartment was two-bedroom, one bathroom... More

This place is not exactly in the center of Rome, which makes in much cheaper. The metro stop is a 5 minute walk away, and you can take that to pretty much all main tourist destinations in under 20 minutes. The Vatican/St. Peter's Cathedral is a 20 minute walk away. Rooms are pretty big and all have a kitchenette with... More

I stayed in Medaglie d'Oro for 3 months while studying abroad for school. The entire complex is a piece of crap and not worth the money. The rooms are old and outdated, the least they could have done was add some new paint. They should not advertise that they have internet because it absolutely does not work. At first I... More

Big and comfortable rooms. Very well equipped. Close to metro and The Vatican. Not far from the center. A great experience in general. Rome is a spectacular city. P.S.: We saved a lot of money due to the kitchen in our apartment.

We just got back from a week in Rome where we visited my daughter who is studying there for the semester. She is housed at the Residence Medaglie d'Oro and we were able to rent a 3 room apartment there for the week. The rates are very reasonable for anyone, but we got an extra discout because my daughter was... More
