First, keep in mind this a two-star hotel when looking at my rating. As such, the Hotel Prati is a great value for your money. Conveniently located, there's a bus that runs on a regular basis that'll take you to the centro storico. The bus stop is one block away on Via Crescenzio. A major block north is Cola di... More

My son (age 12) and I visited Rome last month and stayed here for three nights. I was pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. It is small and charming, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant visit to Rome. The bed was more comfortable than I expected, with a firm mattress that helped my back. Clean, air-conditioned, and... More

Stayed here only one night, but had a nice stay. The rooms were nice and clean, but a bit small (we had a four bed room). Good location, just a short walk to the St.Peters church and Castel Sant'Angelo. Good restaurants nearby :)

We stayed as a family of four (10 year old twins) and we loved the hotel. It is extremely close to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's. The gentlemen who work there and I assume the owners are very friendly and helpful. The metro is nearby (5-10 minute walk) and very convenient to important bus lines (2-3 minute walk). There... This was the best choice by far of plenty of places to stay. The prices were reasonable and the breakfast was great to have as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in two rooms and were able to easily walk to St. Peter's Square and the Metro stop nearby. We felt secure there as well. There... More

Rooms a little noises due to traffic and a bar near.I managed to get sleep and I am a light sleeper .Breakfast is continental, so don't expect a full English. There are a few items but take as much as you like til full.Bed comfy which is needed after a busy day around Rome.

This hotel is good value for the money. It is nicely located in the Prati district not to far from the Vatican. It was clean and the service was friendly. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is nothing to write home about and I concur with that statement. As Anthony Bourdain so succinctly stated in his Rome episode of Layover... More

Small room very close to Vatican and castle. Great to run by river. Nice bistro restaurants nearby. Breakfast fresh no problems. Great. But more 1 star than 2. Didn't pay too much so what can I say. Would go back next time. Nice to see places like this still exist

The Hotel Prati is ideally situated for anyone wishing to visit Saint Peters and the Vatican museum area and with easy access to the other sites around Rome. If arriving by train into Roma Termini from the airport or from another part of Italy, go down to the metro and catch line A and get off at Ottaviano/S.Pietro (6 stops)... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
