This hotel was a huge disappointment for the 4 couples that had booked in it. When comparing reviews to where we normally stay the Casa Valdese (not available) we thought this was a good alternate choice we were wrong. The only two positive things that can be said about this property is the location and the helpfulness of the staff.... More

We were a group of 8 that stayed 6 nights in Rome. We knew we were booking a budget hotel but were so pleasantly surprised at the 4 star service of the front desk. They were super helpful with restaurant recommendations, even making reservations for us on the phone (with a group of 8 that's a must!), what bus to... More

We stayed at the Hotel Prati for 3 nights in October and would definitely recommend! It's a budget hotel, so if you're expecting luxurious rooms then this is not the place for you. However, the room was very clean and included free wifi and a hair dryer. There was also a decent continental breakfast available. The receptionist was extremely helpful... More

We went to Rome for the weekend. Initially we were a bit disappointed about the size of the hotel and room but the man in reception more than made up for this. We asked for more pillows and some tea, as we had arrived late. Despite tea being unheard of in Rome (coffee only in most places) he went out... More

We knew we were staying in a two star hotel from the website. We used other comments from trip advisor plus the location to choose here. The fellas could not do enough for us. The room was excellent, clean, well appointed. If you want all the trimmings then pay for them don't expect champagne for a beer price, however if... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a great location. The front desk showed us how to take the bus to the colosseum and back. There is breakfast included / croissants and yogurt, juice and coffee. The elevator is comically small! It is best suited or anyone who can't walk up a few stairs, or maybe just sending your... More

We spent three nights at this hotel and the day concierge, Fabio was a delight. He was patient, spoke well and helped us getting around and made recommendations. Our room was very small but we only needed a place to sleep and the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday and the cleaning staff were always polite. Free wifi... More

This hotel is really good value for money, especially considering its location. We used the metro to get around Rome, and the nearest station is only a short walk from the hotel. The room is small, and pretty basic, but very clean and we were very happy with it. The staff are really nice, and very helpful. There was always someone... More

First, keep in mind this a two-star hotel when looking at my rating. As such, the Hotel Prati is a great value for your money. Conveniently located, there's a bus that runs on a regular basis that'll take you to the centro storico. The bus stop is one block away on Via Crescenzio. A major block north is Cola di... More

My son (age 12) and I visited Rome last month and stayed here for three nights. I was pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. It is small and charming, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant visit to Rome. The bed was more comfortable than I expected, with a firm mattress that helped my back. Clean, air-conditioned, and... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
