I think people need to consider what they're paying for when looking at budget travel, particularly on the continent. The ability to walk out and grab fresh pizza, pastries and coffee is valued much higher than material furnishings. This is by no means a chain hotel like a Premier Inn with expected standards for low cost accommodation. There is no... More

We booked our stay really early and got a very good price, we decided for this BB beacuse the reviews were quite good. However our stay turned to be disappointing. The room was quite big - 2 beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair, table, 2 night stands. The bed was some sort of round pull out couch, it was too... More

This cute little apt which holds three rooms has a shared kitchen and bathroom... The room and the rest of the apt were immaculately clean and this made my husband and myself very happy! We felt so at home here, it was almost like being at home! The kitchen was stocked with plates, utensils and pots to cook with, as... More

The best point of the hotel is nice location,we arrived from Termini to Collosseo metro station and could reach the b&b walking 10 minutes. It was magnificent night view and we decided not to take bus and to see nearby areas, though you can take bus 93(?) not sure about number and get off at Piazza San Giovanni. Also very nice and cosy... Like many B&Bs in Italy this is apartments in a secured-courtyard type building. We had a hard time finding it and realized that others have the same problem. There is a plaque near the door, but it is small and dirty. As it typical for Italian B&Bs, they want to know when you are arriving because there is no round-the-clock... More

Although a little hard to find at first, being greeted by Damiano when we arrived instantly put our minds at ease. The typical happy, smiley Italian gave us all the information we needed with lots of tips on visiting Italy's most iconic city. The hotel was nothing special but with free breakfast and wifi, a big air conditioned room and... More

We had a great stay at the bed and breakfast! After a warm welcoming by Damiano and Laura we were given a city map with all important places to visit and loads of information. The room was very big and for the money we payed absolutely okay. We got fresh towels several times and could have probably asked for the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
