Good things first: Location behind the Opera is perfect and quite. Near by via Nationale with Public Transport, Metro within 5 minutes walk. Train Station Termini is also near by. Restaurants and supermarket very near. Service: gentleman behind the reception desk really try to help you. I needed to change the room (I got a shower one and needed bathtube)... More

We were VERY disappointed in this hotel - the room was very small and the bathroom was extremely difficult to maneuver in - high bathtub right next to the sink and stool with a permanent glass partition on half of it instead of a shower curtain. Housekeeping on our floor was good, not so much on our friends' floor. Spotty... More

Hotel hard to find - on a narrow street. No parking here - lot down the street is $25. a day. Hotel needs updating, paint, furniture, and new linen. Had the sign on the door for maid to keep out - she came in anyway. Walked to get on tour bus - great locale for that. Traffic and driving in... More

My younger son stayed here while my wife and I stayed down the street at the IQ Hotel Roma. The Centro was a little worn and dated but the room was clean and roomy. Definitely a good place to stay if you're on a budget. The location us close to transportation, restaurants, and the opera theatre.

My family of 7 spent a few nights here on the start of our Italian tour. The customer service and quaint accommodations were outstanding. Alberto emailed me before we left the states to ask if we would like a ride from the airport, it was the most cost effective for our group, it costs €12,50 per person for the train.... More

Excellent service and genuinely really friendly staff. Good breakfast. Room was tidy even if a little modest, but even at that much better than most in the Termini area. Moved in from a prebooked hotel nearby (Hotel Corona) which was in awful condition with rude staff. A lot of the houses in this area are in a bad condition with... More

This hotel was recommended by some friends of mine. The location is nice, I stayed at the 4th floor with two friends for three nights. The room was clean and quiet, the wi-fi was ok. The breakfast-continental type was good but the restaurant was quite small and sometimes guests were waiting for others to finish eating. The staff was nice,... More

Such an affordable hotel. SO central it is near everywhere and i mean everywhere. Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Rooms were clean and pleasant as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was simple and tasty - get there early for the odd chocolate croissant! Hope to stay again when I return to Rome.

This hotel is in a prime location. It is walking distance to many of the major attractions (Coliseum, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain - just to name a few) and is close to Rome's Termini central station. You're also right by many restaurants and shopping. The service from the staff is great especially from a gentleman named Albert who provided me... More

We stayed here after our cruise and I was disappointed. The rooms were very basic and the bed wasn't good. Couldn't get wifi in room. Had to sit by our door to get it. Breakfast wasn't great and not enough staff for service. Staff however were fantastic. Hotel is in a great location and the rooms are big too. No... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
