My family of 7 spent a few nights here on the start of our Italian tour. The customer service and quaint accommodations were outstanding. Alberto emailed me before we left the states to ask if we would like a ride from the airport, it was the most cost effective for our group, it costs €12,50 per person for the train.... More

Excellent service and genuinely really friendly staff. Good breakfast. Room was tidy even if a little modest, but even at that much better than most in the Termini area. Moved in from a prebooked hotel nearby (Hotel Corona) which was in awful condition with rude staff. A lot of the houses in this area are in a bad condition with... More

This hotel was recommended by some friends of mine. The location is nice, I stayed at the 4th floor with two friends for three nights. The room was clean and quiet, the wi-fi was ok. The breakfast-continental type was good but the restaurant was quite small and sometimes guests were waiting for others to finish eating. The staff was nice,... More

Such an affordable hotel. SO central it is near everywhere and i mean everywhere. Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Rooms were clean and pleasant as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was simple and tasty - get there early for the odd chocolate croissant! Hope to stay again when I return to Rome.

This hotel is in a prime location. It is walking distance to many of the major attractions (Coliseum, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain - just to name a few) and is close to Rome's Termini central station. You're also right by many restaurants and shopping. The service from the staff is great especially from a gentleman named Albert who provided me... More

We stayed here after our cruise and I was disappointed. The rooms were very basic and the bed wasn't good. Couldn't get wifi in room. Had to sit by our door to get it. Breakfast wasn't great and not enough staff for service. Staff however were fantastic. Hotel is in a great location and the rooms are big too. No... More

Nice staff. Rooms were awful. The breakfasts were poor quality food, and the same dreary food every morning. Cheap cooked meats, cheap cheese slices....imagine Kraft plastic cheese, but even thinner. The "fresh" fruit salad was from a freshly opened tin. the yoghurts were very poor quality. The man who ran the breakfast room did his best, but it didn't make... More

This hotel was very centrally located near all the major sites except for Vatican City. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colliseum, Pantheon, etc. Less than a 10 minute walk to Termini station. Shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was very basic, typical for Europe. Beds were very hard and so were pillows. Same with the breakfast, pastries,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
