Very close to the Vatican and the street Borgo Pio offers plenty of food and drink options. While the main street is rather touristy it was just fine for a couple of nights and we very much enjoyed the size of the room and would consider returning, especially for a longer stay in Rome.

The apartments offer an excellent value for the price. Great location within 2 minutes walking distance to the Vatican, and within 10 minutes walking to the City Center or the nearest Metro Station. Having a kitchen is a big advantage and an excellent alternative for breakfast. A supermarket is within 2 minutes walk, where you find anything you may need... More

We stayed here for only one night at the very beginning of our Italy vacation. We wished we had stayed longer. The apartments were spacious and clean and the staff was wonderful. They helped us with information for the rest of our vacation and I can't recommend them enough.

This is a truly great place for a stay in Rome, especially if you’re staying a bit longer or have been here before. The location is central, but not right in the middle of centro storico with the hordes of tourists, which can be annoying. If you have very limited time, you might want to stay right in the middle... Close to St. Peter's, Vatican Museum, bus stops, metro stop. In a fun neighborhood with lots of little eateries and shops. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and accommodating--they even put up graciously with my poor attempts at trying to speak Italian! It's great to have a place with a kitchen and the beds were... More

I have worked with Trianon Borgo Pio, (Eli and Lore) for over 5 years and our company has used their apartments for well over 15 year. They have only gotten better and improved on an already good accommodation and experience. I love to stay there, my wife and I feel so welcome. The amenities are great, the facilities clean, quiet... 5-10 minutes walk to Vatican Museums, St Peter's, Hop-on/off bus stops, metro. Heaps of restaurants in nearby streets, small supermarket a few doors away. Our apartment was fronting the tiny street but with windows closed (there is air con) there was no noise, except some from lobby at times. Microwave, 2 cooktops, electric kettle, toaster, large fridge, iron, lifts. Modern... More

We stayed only one night as we were returning to Rome to fly back home the following day. Our apartment was on the first floor. Very clean but not that spacious for 5 people. Great location but our rooms faced an alley way and I could hear everyone talking outside. We would definitely stay there again but choose another apartment

location is great, not only sights but also food shops and parks. gym is rather small but everything works fine. kitchen stuff is a bit used but you have everything you need: pans, forks, cutlery, kettle and microwave... minor drawbacks are weekly cleaning service and lack of furniture , but I guess it's not the case for all the rooms... First visit to Rome. Opted for an apartment experience over a hotel as it appeared the apartments had more room. We had three people travelling and rented a grand apartment that was perfect for us! Each person had a room and the apartment had two bathrooms as well as a kitchen where the group could gather, make coffee or tea... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
