There have been many glowing reviews for this property, but none of those reviews refer to longer stays. Short-stay customers will probably not even notice all the short-comings. This review is for the benefit of those staying a little longer for business or pleasure. I have stayed at the property at least 6 weeks per year for the past 5... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and in good shape. The A/C worked well. wifi was pretty good by Italian standards. There was a small park across the street in which a homeless guy stayed. The hotel was in a good location. The Vatican was walking distance. The next street over was full of shops... More

We have stopped here for a third time. As always, Apartment Trianon Borgo Pio did not disappoint us. Highly professional, attentive staff is working fine, superb. We are sure to stay here in our next visit to Rome. We have recommended the hotel to all friends and acquaintances.

Trianon Borgo Pio Residence is an excellent place to stay in for two main reasons: - location: it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to St Peter's Square, 5 minutes to walk to Castel Sant'Angelo and about 15 minutes to walk to subway station (Ottaviano); - comfortability: apartments are rather large and very comfortable, the office staff are extremely... The room are large apartments which make it great for traveling with a large family. They have a kitchen if you want to keep or prepare some food. The location is very safe and walking distance to many restaurants, shops and to the Vatican.

We spend four nights in this Hotel and it was a very comfortable stay. The apartment was clean and had more than enough space for a family of four. The kitchenette was well equipped for our needs. Beds were comfortable got a good nights sleep after a day of exploring the city. The location is great to see some huge... More

We had a very comfortable spacious apartment.. The building is on a quiet road less than 10 minutes walk to St Peter's Square and 5 minutes walk to Castel Sant'Angelo; there is a bus stop for most of the Hop On Hop Off tours just around the corner. Several nice restaurants close by and several small mini markets to buy... More

Our family of five (with three teenage children) stayed here for 5 nights. It was very close to many attractions and some wonderful dining options around the corner on Via Borgo Pio. The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful - graciously calling for taxis for us when we asked. The rooms were comfortable (large by Italian city standards) and... More

My husband and I, our 20 yr old and two 16 yr olds were completely happy with our stay here. There is no living room area but we were never in the hotel. The bedrooms are very roomy. WiFi worked great. Everyone was so nice. Everything was spotless. You are close to so many wonderful restaurants, pharmacy and small supermarket.... More

Just spent a week here on the recommendation of a colleague, and the facility & the people exceeded my expectations. I was traveling on business (overseeing a group of college students) and needed a quiet, comfortable refuge, and as soon as I entered the doors it was as if I were in another world. Staff were friendly and helpful, the... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
