Wonderful, small, perfectly located, immaculate, stylish.....the roof deck is fantastic, great views with breakfast served, and honor bar. Rooms quite nice, a bit on the small size but high design. Free bikes to use. But best of all is the staff: each and every staff member is eager to please, friendly, helpful and attentive. The very best staff, from check... More

Our first trip to Rome was a true delight. I could not have been more pleased with the beautiful hotel and the exceptional service. The Terrace provides arguably the best view in Rome. If you can get a reservation in this wonderful hotel grab it you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is 1 door away from the main shopping street and very near the bottom of the Spanish Steps. The location works great for walking, but vehicles will need to deal with the pedestrian traffic to get you to and from your hotel. The hotel doesn't offer a restaurant or bar or the amenities of a big hotel, but... More

As this was my first ever visit to Rome I chose the Portrait Suites because it was small and well located and the staff had received such glowing reviews. We arrived by train and the taxi dropped us near the Spanish steps and we made our way from there. We were warmly welcomed by Veronica who took us to our... More

We stayed 3 nights and opted for Portrait Roma as we wanted a central, upmarket venue. It delivers. The charming staff are a delight and full of ideas for how to make the most of your stay. We stayed 3 nights with at the Portrait Roma. It was a superlative experience. Starting with the pre arrival communication and through to our departure the staff (Alex, Francesca, Simone, Thomas) was superb. They were attentive, conscientious, friendly and took our well-being and satisfaction very personally. Upon an early morning arrival from the U.S. we were offered a room to... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
