Great visit in Jan. for our anniversary. This property is a great location right by the Spanish Steps and surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. Our room was quite large by European standards and had a separate bedroom and sitting room complete with a small bar/kitchenette. We had a very nice continental breakfast included that was brought every morning to... More

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel....Thomas made my son and I feel like welcomed family. Every dinner suggestion he made was outstanding...we had a small problem with running water in our room and we started typing on the mini IPad they provided and someone was knocking at our door to resolve the issue before we were done... My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at Portrait Roma in early December 2015. We had read the stellar reviews and were excited to try the hotel. It far exceeded all our expectations. The room was spacious with modern and inviting decor. Much to our surprise, there was a complete workout gym and sauna to use. The location... More

I've been wanting to stay at this hotel for years and we finally went back to Rome last month and stayed here. You know when you've built something up in your head and then when it finally comes true, it's sometimes a let down? Not in this case! It even surpassed my expectations! First, the staff at Portrait are amazing.... More

Experienced staff always trying to make your stay even better, impeccable cleanliness, comfortable sleep, perfect location in the very heart of Rome just around the corner of Via Condotti and a few steps of Piazza Spagna. Absolutely recommendable for those who want to be pampered by an impeccable service.

Just spent 4 nights at Portrait. Every dimension of our stay was exceptional. The room was spacious, meticulously clean, well equipped and quiet. The complementary breakfast and daily snacks were delicious and well presented. Service at Portraits was world class - so incredibly sincere, attentive and friendly - not a trace of the typical snootyness you often get at a... More

Stop reading and just book it. We are planning a second visit. This 5 star very intimate and small hotel run by the Ferragamo family sits just below the Spanish steps above the Ferragamo store. Beautiful touches in the decor on the family history and products. Location is sensational for exploring. Hotel staff was discreet and exceptional. Helped us with... More

Our stay at Portrait Roma could not have been better to start our honeymoon. Not only is the hotel itself gorgeous and chic, but its location is phenomenal and in walking distance to many attractions. The rooms are impeccably designed, and the staff was extremely attentive and helpful with restaurant reservations and directions. Complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were... Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
