Everything you could ever want for a short stay. Staff cannot do enough for you and are attentive, friendly and knowledgable. The hotel is perfectly placed in the center of the hot spots for the sights and shopping. It is a very private experience though the roof terrace provides some shared space for drinks on hot summer nights. Not many... More

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of February 2015. The hotel is situated very close to the Spanish Steps and is surrounded by some of the world's most well known designer boutiques. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us. The room was spacious and contained everything you would expect of a 5 star residence.... More

Our family stayed at the Portrait Roma in March 2015 and had a fantastic experience. This small boutique hotel felt more like a home than a hotel. The location is ideal and in walking distance to most major sites. The facilities/amenities are beautiful. There is a lovely rooftop terrace. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The staff is attentive, kind, and... More

On arrival we were greeted by the immaculate, well informed staff, who served us drinks before showing us some of the main features of the hotel, that include a beautiful rooftop bar overlooking the city and then on to our suite that had a balcony overlooking the bustling Via Condotti. Though the hotel is adjacent to one of the main... More

The Portrait Roma is simply an exceptional hotel in a fantastic location. The room was cleaned and prepared through the day to such a high standard and the staff made us feel instantly at home. It's very easy to see why this hotel has such a very high rating and we would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to... More

This is an excellent hotel right in the heart of the city center just by the spanish steps, so location was amazing, easy to walk everywhere. The room we had was enormous and very clean, the staff was always attentive and professional with us. The only small problem we had it was with the car service from the airport, the... More

Dear Australianway, I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay with us.. We stayed last year and bought our two girls with us this year and like the year before this place is outstanding. Thank you to you all at the portrait from the lovely young girl who cleaned our room and my children's room (a task in itself!!) to the lovely manager who runs a first class establishment. Looking forward to... More

This place is simply amazing! Very clean and has some excellent views. Rooms are nicely decorated (could be a little bigger...) but overall we had a very comfortable stay. Definately will consider staying in this place again.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
