From the minute we arrived and were greeted by Francesca we were sure we had selected the right hotel. My family including 4 younger children traveled to Rome and spent four wonderful nights at the Portrait Roma. The location is perfect and walking distance to most important sights. The rooms are well appointed and have everything you could ask for... More

This hotel pays so much attention to detail. I really can't say enough positive things about our stay here. Before we arrived we were asked to complete a survey with our preferences. What drinks, fruit, etc. we liked, what type of bedding and pillows we preferred, what temperature we liked to keep our room at... and they followed it to... More

Everything perfect at Portrait Roma. Great location. Excellent staff-friendly and so helpful. Beautiful, spacious room. Very comfortable with excellent facilities. Excellent wifi. Lovely roof-top terrace where an excellent breakfast is served. Even discounts at the Ferragamo store downstairs! And a quiet location yet so near the Spanish Steps.

This hotel is just excellent! From the decoration of the rooms to services from the hotel, everything is just down to detail, not to mention the fantastic location. We got warm and sincere welcome at the reception, where we got us more familiar with the city and relaxed after the train trip from Milan. Our room is spacious, quiet, even... More

Our room was amazing - super quiet, great bathroom and beds! Breakfast is served on the rooftop deck - delicious food. Wish they wouldn't allow smoking on the roof - especially during breakfast - yuck!

I am so happy we had t move our trip around a little and this beautiful hotel was available for our new dates. Truly the best hotel experience ever and we’ve stayed in many fabulous hotels around the world. 10/10. The hotel is faultless - great location only a minute's walk from Spanish Steps and metro, large rooms with all... More

The luxury of this hotel cannot be beat. After traveling across Europe for 14 days, this was the last stop on our journey - and it couldn't have been more perfect. The rooms and service are impeccable. The location just a couple blocks from the Spanish steps with shopping right outside the door. Beautiful, safe, clean area. The staff beautifully... More

THis has to be amongst my favourite hotels in the world. I was so excited to return after a 2 year absence! We spent my Birthday weekend with friends at Portrait Roma and everything was exceptional. The rooms are beautiful and roomy. Excellent terras on top of the hotel to get away from the heat and noise of this busy city. Please use the free bikes to stroll around the city center. On the bike to the Vatican is about 15 minutes. Nice romantic get away from the crowds.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
