Villa Spalletti Trivelli is an exceptional place to stay when visiting Rome. This is what we liked: - Location; although removed from the tourist mob inhabiting the Spanish Steps it is very central to all the worthwhile things to see. Almost everywhere can be reached on foot. - the rooms are maginificent. The work of the artisans is exceptional. The... More

We were so fortunate to stay at Villa Spalletti Trivelli over Christmas, we had stayed previously a few years ago. Everything is just as wonderful as during our last visit. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are lovely with everything you need. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection is some of the best we have experienced, particularly the buffalo... What could be nicer than staying in the former home of an aristocratic family in this most aristocratic of cities! A world away from the traditional gargantuan hotels I am used to and with a generous staff to guest ratio, it is not unsurprising that this hotel comes at a price, but it is a price worth paying - for... Our stay was top notch, as we have traveled here on a convention, we were delighted at the service they provide as well as the ambient of the building. Recommended as overnight stay as well as a long term one.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance from the Trevi fountain and at the same time off the main streets and thus calm. The rooms are superb by all means. You have all you need. The living rooms are beutiful as well (see Picture). The staff is attentive and extremely serviceminded. We can also recommend the limousine service that... More

This hotel feels more like a luxury stately home being filled as it is with wonderful antiques and works of art. The staff were excellent and our room was upgraded due to it being a special birthday. The recommendations and bookings they made for dinner were spot on. Breakfast was extensive and with a lovely selection of fruits including Persimmon... More

This was without a doubt one of the most enjoyable hotel stays ever. It was a beautiful home that is now a hotel not to be confused with a B&B. The rooms have all of the modern conveniences and privacy that you would expect. The staff were fantastic and the location was great. The best thing was the feeling of... More

Formerly the home to Rome aristocracy. A superb villa transformed sensitively into a hotel. Possibly unique experience. if you want to do something so much better than an od fashioned normal hotel......stay in someones home that has been adapted to offer hotel services. We stayed in a garden suite, although expensive even for a capito city, it was spacious and... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
