My husband and I had one of the most romantic few days of our lives at this beautiful hotel with exemplary service. I'll never forget my time there. Every request was quickly and generously provided for and the Villa felt more like a well appointed home than a hotel. You won't be disappointed.

Villa Spalletti is a fabulous and comfortable hotel in a great location. The hotel is run by the Spalletti children who converted it from the private residence of their forbears. The building was constructed in the late 1800s and still contains many pieces of art and furnishings that were the property of the Spalletti family over the years. The rooms... More

Starting with the reservation process and ending with our last goodbyes, the Villa Spalletti Trivelli staff were competent, helpful, and lovely to deal with. The Villa accommodated three generations of our family with ease and grace. The rooms were beautiful and well equipped, the common areas elegant and welcoming, the garden serene and inviting, even in winter. They really do... More

I have often longed for an eccentric, but filthy rich, aunt who lives in Rome. An aunt with an historic home in a central location where I could camp out for weeks at a time. A home filled with lovely antiques, comfortable furniture and yummy munchies. My wish has been granted at the Villa Spalletti Trivelli. My Dearest and I... More

After being in loud dirty busy amazing Rome for a week at a modest family run hotel, we decided to stay at Villa Spalletti for 2 nights before heading to Florence. It was wonderful and much needed break from it all. The hotel is so beautiful from the artwork to the antique furniture to all details in every part of... More

My husband and I like to stay at historic 5-star boutique hotels, and we travel worldwide. Villa Spalletti Trivelli ranks among the very finest of anyplace we have stayed. It is quiet, elegant, refined, with lovely antiques and furnishings. The garden is lovely and quiet in the midst of a city that can be noisy. The room was large, sunny,... More

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a one-night stay at the Vila, chosen for its history and location. Location: situated opposite Palaco Quirinale, 10 minutes walk from the Termini train station and the Trevi Fountain. Hotel: a historical vila over three floors plus a basement spa famous amongst discerning Roman residents. There is a library, drawing room... More

Would stay nowhere else. Would give eight stars if I could. Did my research on TripAdvisor, and figured that the great reviews said something about this small villa of 12 rooms---they were right, an absolutely beautiful and great place to stay!! From being greeted warmly and offered breakfast by staff upon our early arrival (10am) to having wine tasting (including... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
