Nice little Hotel in Rome and as advertised, not fancy but friendly and close to everything. You can walk comfortably to the Colosseum and most sights if you are fit. Great friendly staff and service, I would have given it 5 stars, except it was exceptionally over heated. We went in January and it was unseasonably warm around 9-12 degrees,... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from Rome and we absolutely loved staying at this hotel. When we checked in, we were lucky enough to upgrade to their VIP room on the 5th floor. The VIP suite had a private terrace as well as a separate TV room and large bathroom. We absolutely loved it! The location of this... More

We weren't sure what to expect and were very happy. The location is a short walk from Termini and the Metro. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The stay includes breakfast with Italian or American coffee. Both were fantastic. The woman who runs the breakfast also makes fresh squeezed orange juice.we didn't try it because we really enjoyed... Terrific little hotel on a side street with excellent staff. Nice breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay there again. One small complaint: the hotel's wifi censors which sites you can visit. I find that irritating and just a tad insulting.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a Mediterranean Cruise in October. The hotel is small but very comfortable. The staff is extremely welcoming and solicitous. Our room/bath were exquisitely clean and though the furnishings are not lavish they are comfortable. The breakfast every morning was delicious with more choices than you could wish for. We would... Everything was really perfect for me. The staff is taking care of you and is always available for helping. My room had a very nice view, the bed was comfortable and the room was so clean! The minibar with non alcoholic beverage was free of charge as well as the breakfast. The breakfast was good but a bit limited in... More

Can you believe I chose this hotel because in one of the pictures the staff were wearing Santa hats around a Christmas tree? It helps that the hotel was in walking distance to the train station too. Our room over looked Roman Ruins of an old bath turned museum. Though the room was typical European in size, it had a... More

About an hours drive from Rome airport, close to train station and hop-on/off bus stop. Helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast but no restaurant, small bar. Plenty of nearby places to eat. Small elevator 2 person + cases. Wheelchair access. Only 1 suitcase stand in our room other case on the floor. Shower over large spa bath, long legs a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
