The hotel was very clean. The room was comfortable, with a good sized bathroom. Doreen at the front desk was wonderful, we immediately felt as though we were old friends. She is from the USA so there is no language problem. She recommended restaurants to try. Each night when we returned to the hotel she would ask us about our... More

Located with less than 5mins walk from Roma Termini Train Station. Easy excess to National rail, metro station, bus services and tourist Hop-On and Hop-Off bus service. Rooms & bathrooms are neat and clean. They have free mini-bar rooms which I loved the most. Friendly and helpful staff.

Located just a block from Roma Termini station, you have access to trains, buses and subway/metro lines. The rooms are clean, bathroom was not too small, breakfast was pretty good! Eggs and fresh orange juice included. Small gym, but good enough to exercise. Friendly and helpful staff. There is a laundromat just two blocks away, wheree you leave your big... More

The hotel ideally located near the central station boast of a very friendly and accommodating hotel staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a good selection for breakfast. A very good choice for our stay in Rome. Good wifi connection included in the room charge.

This was my first visit to Rome and wasn't sure what to expect. From arriving at the hotel, all the staff were brilliant. I actually arrived early due to the time of my flight etc, and they even let me check in as my room was already ready for my stay. All the staff at the hotel are brilliant, very... More

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to explore Rome, after a 10 day trip in Greece. We chose this hotel because it was one of few who could provide 3 single beds. And was close to termini. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful!! They had great communication with quick responses to emails regarding booking... More

Dear Caprisha S, Thank you for both of your lovely reviews. We are so happy to hear that you and your friends enjoyed your recent holiday with us. As we are a smaller, more intimate botique hotel, our staff have the opportunity to get to know our guests and provide the most attentive of service. We are glad to read... More

My friends and I stayed at this small, boutique hotel for 3 nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was also outstanding!! Made THE BEST fresh, hot croissants!!! Close to the tourist hop on hop off buses, termini, lots of great food, and shopping! Wifi worked great! Although we felt the charge for having... More

My wife and I celebrated my recent retirement with a Mediterranean cruise which terminated in Rome. As Rome is our favorite travel destination, we decided to tack on additional days in that city after the cruise to enjoy all it has to offer. The Hotel Diocleziano was a superb find. It is just a few minutes walk from Termini train... More

The room was clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. The wifi worked great and they have a little gym and a few workstations to use in the lobby. The included breakfast and coffee was fine. The staff tries to be very helpful. It is a great place to stay, right near the Termini station but on a quiet street. I would... More

Perfectly situated 5 minutes walk from the main train station and one of the main shopping streets (Via Natzionale). Staff was very helpful with cabs, tours, laundry and anything else we needed. Rooms were large (in the European sense) and comfortable. Breakfast was in a beautiful high ceiling-ed room and offered fresh squeezed orange juice and individually prepared espresso.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
