4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed two nights very satisfactorily for reasons of cleanliness, service, room amenities, room space, breakfast quality and most of all location. Considering its central position so near to the bus terminus and rail station, the hotel is quiet and lacks traffic noise. At the same time it is within walking distance of many of the more interesting sites of Rome,... More

I rarely write reviews, but this place is outstanding. Very helpful staff, good breakfasts, and a perfect location by the train station. Do visit the National archeological museum located on the next block in the Roman Bath. I recommend a room not facing the street - it was quite quiet and private. This place is a real find and very... More

My wife and I chose this hotel based on a combination of good ratings, reasonable price, and above all its proximity to Rome's main train station, Rome Termini. We were pleased with our choice after having stayed at the hotel for 4 days. Service was great and our hotel room was clean and new in appearance. There was a problem... More

We stayed here two nights after a cruise and the location was excellent. Although we arranged for several tours on our own we were able to head out to the Spanish Steps, Pantheon etc very easily as the Central Station is very close. the rooms are spotless and the staff very helpful. Minibar had free contents such as soda, water... More

the hotel is really close to the main transportation center of Rome, about 2 blocks so taxi/bus connections were a breeze. The staff is super helpful and the english was spoken by everyone who were there for restaurant/ phone contacts. The breakfast is a full English type with plenty of meat/cheese and fresh fruit

Upgraded to Jacuzzi bath room and the little extras were enjoyed such as the slippers and mini bar. Staff really friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and the breakfast was quiet and relaxing as some hotels can be so busy, queuing for breakfast etc. On returning from a meal out, we would sit in the reception area and have a... The Hotel is located close from Termini ( the central station of Rome ) and it's pretty easy to go there. The Rooms are nice and clean but maybe a bit small. Soundproofing need to be improved. The clerks and personal are really kind and nice

I recently took a trip to Rome with my brother and had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Diocleziano. The staff was top notch, friendly, and very helpful. The front desk helped coordinate our tours, check our bags in early, and found and emailed us about 50 euros we lost under the bed after we check out. The hotel was... More

I had two overnight stays in Rome at the beginning and end of the week and as both hotels had very positive reviews, I thought, why not check both of them out? For the first leg of my trip I stayed at Hotel Diocleziano. Great hotel! Couldn’t fault anything. Especially the staff. They were brilliant. In particular, the young lady... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
