The hotel was excellent, the staff helpful, friendly and efficient. The position of the hotel, near the Termini, but down a side quite street was perfect. The rooms were spotless, the shower and bedroom modern. We would definitely return to this hotel. This hotel is a gem.

This hotel is very conveniently located near the main train station Termini, and a metro line. Hotel was only about a 5 minute walk, if that, from the station. Room was basic, but nice. Comfy beds, huge shower, good breakfast!

This hotel I would highly recommended. Very clean and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Stayed for two nights its just opposite the train station where you can get the metro to all the tourist attractions. Would definitely stay again if in Rome .

The Hotel Diocleziano is a wonderful place to stay in Rome. The hotel was off on a quiet side street, yet convenient to the metro, buses, restaurants and delicious gelato! Our room was modern and clean with a spacious bathroom and great shower. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable – we especially enjoyed talking to Doreen who gave... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of April beginning of May. Upon arrival at the hotel we were impressed it was fairly easy to find and the welcome we had from the staff was first class. The room was clean and with plenty of room for myself and my wife. It was also a nice... More

From the moment you arrive you know you've made the right choice. As a result of the Fiumicino fire, which meant we couldn't fly to Rome, but had to go to Pisa, we had endured a 6.5 hour nightmare bus journey and all we wanted was to chill out. This hotel provided just that. As we walked in the smiling... More

The hotel was as I expected. The service was above average. The accommodations were fine . The only disappointment was that when we booked this Hotel we were to have breakfast included on web site and I had to pay $18 euros

I keep coming back to this hotel. It has everything I want: great location near trains and buses, quiet and comfortable rooms, hard-working and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet (thank you Imelda and Joy!), free Internet access. This time, I managed to book the "VIP Suite", room 501, at the top of the hotel. There is one flight of stairs... More

We have stayed here a number of times. Now when going to Rome we don't even look at other properties. We just book here! The rooms are clean and quiet with the amenities you need to be comfortable including that one thing that hard to find in Europe - A real US style shower that works as a shower should!... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
