Made our Holiday complete. Residenza Vaticana is close to anything - the Vatican, Castello St Angelo & Ponte St Angelo, Piazza di Spagna, the buses and the Underground, and everything else is a walking distance from Residenza Vaticana. The room was always kept nice and clean for us. But most of all the Lady was the nicest Lady ever. The... More

This is a nice hotel in a good location, ten minutes walk from the Vatican and twenty from the historic centre. Very safe and secure. Rooms are basic but comfortable clean but the bathroom is tiny. No wi-fi or laundry but close to restaurants. Would stay there again.

I never write reviews but feel inclined to write one for the Residenza. I have travelled to Rome many times, and have always stayed at the Residenza. Close to a metro, and right in the middle of the suburb of Prati, a great local area, it is close to everything (Vatican etc) Surrounded by shops, supermarkets, cafes, and places to... More

We booked this B&B because we wanted to stay in Rome without spending too much. It turned out to be an excellent choice with friendly, helpful people. It's close to Castel Sant' Angelo and the Vatican, also metro line B although we walked everywhere. The tourist area in Rome isn't that big, so walking is viable with the map provided... More

we stayed here for two nights in a room with a double and two singles for our kids 6 and 9, the rooms are modern, well kept and clean, the owners were very helpful and friendly. My only comment would be they invest in a real espresso machine and not an automatic dispenser, after all this is Italy. All in... More

My wife and I recently stayed at Residenza Vaticana, and could not have been more happy with the stay. We stayed in a private room with a bathroom in the unit. It is on Via Ezio, which is a little bit of a jaunt to the Pantheon neighborhood, but its not to bad. Ludovica was a wonderful host, helping us... More

We chose this hotel because we needed a cheap place to sleep in Rome quite central. The room was ok, but really tiny. It was located on a quiet street. The staff was helpful, but the breakfast was really poor. It was only croissants, or other sweets, and some juice.

Residenza Vaticana is a clean, comfortable, well-run B&B. Located on a nice street (near an amazing Gelato place-- Gelateria dei Gracchi), it's easy walking distance to Vatican City. The rooms are large, especially by European standards, with fairly comfortable beds. The bathroom (en suite) was also nice and clean. Like most Italian hotels under 5 stars, the shower was a... I chose this hotel as I have stayed here before in 2008 and had a lovely stay, but was a bit disappointed this time round. The room was tiny and had no cupboard so we lived out of our suitcase on the floor for 3 days and the tiniest bathroom could have been cleaner. Although both ladies were very helpful... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
