The best thing about this place was its location. You are right by the Termini train station so it makes getting anywhere in Rome a breeze (whether taking the Metro or bus), or planning to take the train to other cities in Italy. Some reviewers commented on at night not feeling safe- but we had gone to the Friday night... More

After staying in this B&B for 4 nights, we feel quite disappointed with the service received. That's because we haven't received any. Landords are absent, they just give you the keys the first day and you don't see them again. Breakfast is DIY style and nobody cleaned the room during our stay as we were told. The best and worst... Totally agree with RcMil review "On Your Own". If you need a place just to sleep - get it. Breakfast - only bread, milk, juice and cereal. So, this is not a breakfast. They didnt even have any tea bags... I dont know if smoking was allowed or not, but there was a very heavy smell of tobacco in the... More

This is an apartment converted into a four room B &B with absentee landlords. You must make arrangements to meet someone to get the keys and pay for the room. It was difficult but we did this and did not see the people again for the next four days were were there. Their are bums dumpster diving in the road... More

This wasn't our first choice on Trip Advisor, but our other choices were not available for our dates. However, we were not disappointed. This was a handy location. We arrived a couple days before our cruise and were staying a couple days after our cruise, so being close to the train station (3-5 blocks) was handy for getting back and... More

This hotel's literally 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini, it's convenient for sightseeing or to do outlet shopping. The b&b itself's clean and cozy, Francesca is friendly and helpful. Well the breakfast was minimal, toast, yogurt, coffee, juice, biscotti... not quite enough to fuel me for half day... but still it's better than no breakfast! Free wifi's included and I... More

Eterna Roma is located quite close to Roma Termini station. There are several nearby convenience stores and supermarkets and also a good selection of restaurants in the surrounding streets. The area has a bit of a dodgy feel to it but generally we felt quite safe, even late at night. The property is also about a 15 to 20 minute... More

We have been at "Eternaroma "B&B for 5 days during April 2012. The location is perfect- 2 minutes foot walk from Termini station (so is the nearest metro and bus station) and at about 10-15min.walk to the antic heart of the city. The room has nice furniture and is definetly clean and well serviced. Bathroom isn't vary spacious , but... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
