We stayed here in April for 4 nights and it's a little hidden oasis in the busy city we had a balcony room overlooking the lovley fountain in the courtyard. All the top attractions are a 20 minite walk away. The hop on bus stops just on the main street some 100m away. Breakfast was simple buffet style but enough... More

I recently visited this hotel with three friends. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the rooms adequate if a little tired but the nicest feature was the courtyard. Breakfast could be eaten here and it was a lovely spot to sit quietly during the day away from the noise of the city.

we stayed here for 5 nights in march and the service at the hotel was pretty average .the breakfast room is better and the breakfast itself is fine to get you started for a day out in rome .our room was always hot you could not turn off the central heat and i had to keep opening windows even in... We spent 6 nights in this hotel. We liked it because of reasonable quotation per night and good location. It takes few minutes to reach Spanish steps, Colossium and even you can reach on foot Vatican city. Quite good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff& the only disadvantage - weak wifi signal in rooms, which must be improved. The rest is... More

Domus Romana Hotel is probably not to everyone's taste. The decore is a little dated but it has a wonderful charm which I felt typified Rome in general. From some of the reviews I expected something sad and unpleasant but from seeing the front desk to inspecting the room I got an entirely different feeling more akin to wow. Like... More

We have stayed at Domus Romana twice and we like it a lot. Just off the central Via Nazionale and within walking distance both of the Forum and other historic sights and of the Termini rail and bus station. In particular Alain Torres on reception was very helpful when a reservation agency lost our booking. Good breakfast - very important!... More

Stayed in April for 3 nights. Had a brilliant holiday. The hotel is defiantly NOT a 4star. It's a 3 at most. I will start with the good points- -brilliant location, can walk everywhere within 20mins. So much to see. -staff friendly-especially Allan on reception who was very sympathetic with our problem -breakfast great!! Bad points -rooms very outdated -shower... More

Came here with my son for his birthday. Despite having given them information that we wanted a twin the room was a double and we were told that it couldn't be changed until the morning. My son was not happy but we managed to separate the beds ourselves. The room was ok but on a busy street so very noisy... More

Just back from 4 glorious days in Rome. We stayed at this hotel and found the entire experience to be a pleasant one. We had a huge family suite on the 3rd floor overlooking a quiet street. Huge sitting area with 2 Double sofa beds, ample wardrobes, table & chairs and a kitchenette area with Delph and cutlery + pots... More

We (couple and 19 year old daughter) stayed here for our last night in Rome. I would say that this is more of a 3 star hotel - definitely not a 4 star. We had what I guess was a family suite - separate bedroom, bathroom, and single bed in living area. Everything was fairly worn and faded and in... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
