We stayed here for 4 nights in January. The hotel was far from fully booked but we were given one of the smaller rooms with only a shower (no bath) on the side of the hotel without a lift. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, although 2 slats were missing from the foot end of the bed. The... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and whilst is was in a great location, Domus Romana is in need of a refurbishment if it wants to live up to its star rating. We were reading the reviews before we booked and had a giggle at people commenting how bad the wi fi was but in the end had to agree.... More

Stayed here just before christmas. Location was great being about 800m/10 mins walk from central station (Termini) This was ideal as we got the terravision bus from the airport to the station (4 euros). Plenty of restaurants and a mini market close by It is also in walking distance to most of the sights When you walk up to the... More

It has taken me a while to get to this review, but worthwhile nonetheless. The hotel is in a great location being walking distance from just about everything (albeit a fairly active walk...) and the hotel itself is clean and the staff personable and professional. I will agree that the breakfast is nothing to rave about, but it serves to... More

The bed is comfortable, the room spacious enough plus the room has kitchen facility. It is just along the Nazionale Road and touristic spots are all accessible from the hotel. The breakfast is blaahhh (fatty, bland and absolutely no service) and in no way Italian. For our 5-day stay, WIFI is consistently not available even though they mentioned that it... More

Stayed here during my first trip to Europe. There was no air conditioner due to time of year. They did move our room up stairs over center court. We got to listen to a wedding reception and clanking of pots and pans all night. Free wifi did not work majority of the time. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. Half cooked... More

stayed here for the weekend and I couldn't of hoped for better! city centre walking distance to everything. colosseum is 40 minutes - Spanish steps 40 minutes - we even walked to and from Vatican city took round hour half but the views and the maps are so good it didn't feel that long. the hotel is very dated -... Group of 8 visiting so we had 4 rooms. No two were alike. Rooms were generally OK, but bathrooms all odd. One had tub that was basically on a platform. You had to climb up into it. Another had a tub door that you had to bend down and climb through. The other two had showers smaller than you find... More

Greeted by friendly reception staff always makes a good initial impression and Alain was very quick to make us welcome and immediately offered a room upgrade to a suite at no extra charge. Although the furnishing in the suite was rather dated , the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were modern. The room, with a balcony,... More

just spent 4 nights at Domus romana hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary - really enjoyed our visit. Our designated room was fine though overlooked the street. We did enquire at desk whether they had a room that looked onto the charming courtyard. They were happy to oblige and we ended up in room 112 which is apparently the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
