The hotel, in terms of architecture and interior design, was breathtaking. I had a very luxurious stay and I would recommend to everyone who is currently looking for an accommodation. The breakfast was served at a reasonable time range and was faultless, there was a wide range of food and drink to suit everyone. The staff were really kind and... More

Lovely Hotel close to the 'must see' places in Rome. Old City easily walkable from the Hotel along with the Colosseum, Trevi fountain (which is under renovation – you won’t see much at the moment) and if you stretch your legs you can walk to the River and beyond. Only 5 minutes from the main bus terminal. Room was larger... More

Stayed here with my husband and 7yr old son in August for 4 nights. The hotel itself is in a central location and you can walk to many of the popular places in Rome from here. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the colluseum and an hour and a bit walk through the streets to Vatican city (at... More

Luckily for us this hotel popped up someway down the list on a BA short break. Chosen initially for proximity to station and main attractions, as well as price, the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Very helpful staff, particularly young man on reception. Breakfast in the courtyard was pleasant, the room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom very good. I... More

We were very pleased with the choice of hotel. The location was great and we were able to walk to the Colosseum and Termini train station. Plenty of shops and place to eat nearby too. The hotel itself was nice, with a lot of character and very clean. Rooms are air-conditioned and have free Wifi, although it didn't always work.... More

We stayed here for three nights before a cruise. The building, a restored convent, has some nice features, and the flowers and fountain in the courtyard were lovely. The breakfast had a nice variety. Fresh tomatoes garnished with basil growing right outside. Our rooms were fine, but small, and the mattresses weren't the most comfy--even my son mentioned this, but... More

My friend and I stayed at the Domus Romana Hotel while we were on our 6 day city break to Rome. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the reception of the hotel as it looked more upmarket than we had initially expected, and after a mix up with our transfers we were happy to be greeted by the friendly... This is really a review of the garden bar at the Domus Romana. We walked past the hotel entrance and looked thru to see a lovely fountain and garden bar. They have happy hour from 6pm to 8pm nightly. It was so nice to be in the courtyard away from the busy Rome streets . We went back three times... More

A friend and I stayed at this hotel from Monday 13th July, 2015 - Tuesday, 21st July, 2015. When we arrived (quite late, I must add) we approached the beautiful glass doors of the hotel and were welcomed by two young men who kindly carried our luggage up two flight of stairs to our room. Each and every time we... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
