This review is overdue. My parents and I stayed here for a long weekend in October and were so impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff before we arrived. We had many questions about what to see, how to see, etc. and they were answered in detail and in a timely manner. When we arrived we were even more impressed... More

Have just returned from a four night stay at the Target Inn with my girlfriend to celebrate our 21st birthdays and would definitely recommend this hotel as a perfect base in the heart of the city. Upon arrival we were upgraded as they had noticed it was close to our birthdays which was a perfect start. The room was clean,... More

It was a great start already when I saw one of those awesome old-school elevators. It freaked out my husband though, so he took the stairs. It turns out that the hotel only has a few rooms, definitely less than ten. The receptionist was very helpful, friendly, and polite. She gave directions and set reservations at the associated restaurant, Target... More

This is a decent hotel in a convenient location with very helpful attendants. It is on the third floor of a building and off of the main street so it is quiet. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the bathrooms are comfortable too. The air conditioning worked well. The people at the desk were helpful with arranging rides but didn't... More

Is a small Inn that is taking up 1/2 a floor of a building. Was hard to find at the beginning, since the sign to the place was small, and there are several other inn/hotel/B&B in the same building. Staff is friendly, but unable to give too many recommendations other than giving you the map of the city. Place comes... More

It s so right to pick this district(repubblica) instead of termini area. Single female traveller just needs a safe, clean n quite place to sleep. Official fotos reflect the real situation. Convenient stores, restaurants, cafe around. Metro station 3 min walk. In-room breakfast. Helpful staff (helped me to print vatican museums tix confirmation letter n lent me traveller adaptor). The... More

Hidden away on the 3rd floor in an extremely vibrant part of Rome, this small hotel (incredibly!) offers quiet nights with an easy walk to most attractions. The staff can't help enough and are very approachable for almost any question, local knowledge which is invaluable when you are as badly organised as we were. The breakfast in bed is really... More

I traveled around Europe for several weeks and noticed how small the hotel rooms tend to be. My last stop was Rome and I stood at the Target Inn after getting a recommendation from a Rick Steves tour guide. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. There are soo many reasons why I loved this place. First off, the room... More

The hotel is about a six block walk from the Rome Termini train station. The desk staff are very friendly and helpful and are fluent in English. The rooms are clean and modern. Even though the hotel is on the third floor, there is a good elevator to use. Breakfast is brought to your room at whatever time you specify... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
