My husband and I stayed at the Target Inn Rome for three nights in March. The location was great for exploring Rome on foot and close enough to Termini Station to be an easy connection to airport connection buses, taxis, public buses, the metro, and overground trains. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a classic Italian view from the... More

I couldn't afford to go back to Canada for Christmas so I decided to go to Rome for this year's holiday season. So, I stayed here to spend time in Rome and realized that this place was as center of everything as it gets, because everything was so walkable from this inn. There are buses right outside the street, which... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the target inn on Nov 19-22nd as a Birthday present to each other. We Just loved this hotel.. Great location, with a metro station a minutes walk away if necessary. The main terminal is in walking distance which made the journey to and from the airport easy. Hotel staff were so friendly and so... More

Target Inn is perfectly situated for seeing most of the sights on foot - and recovering after walking all day long! We slept better here than at home - great mattress and quiet rooms, and breakfast in bed is a great way to start the day. Definitely recommended - and hope we'll be able to come back again.

This small hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building located conveniently 10 minutes walk from Termini (Train Station). We stayed 4 nights at the beginning of our 2-week trip and 1 night at the end. The room was modern, clean and had all necessary amenities such as mini fridge, small wall TV, AC, closet with safe. We were... More

We got the bus from the airport to the Termini and then it was only a short 5 minute walk to the hotel, which was easy to find. Everything was a short walk from the hotel, and we felt it was an ideal base for exploring Rome. I recommended it to my parents and they have booked for October. Reception... More

I spent 12 days in this place. Great rooms, very large for European standards. Service was excellent, with every one of the hotel staff trying to make my stay more pleasant. Location was ok, close to the metro and of the Termini station. All in all, a very good and reasonably priced alternative for a city like Rome. One con,... More

We rented two rooms in this very small hotel located on the 3rd floor of a building off the main street. Could not have been happier with this hotel choice. Staff were the very best when compared to the various hotels we stayed at during our 2,200 mile 3-week Europe trip this year. Very thoughtful and helpful front desk. Spoke... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
