I traveled around Europe for several weeks and noticed how small the hotel rooms tend to be. My last stop was Rome and I stood at the Target Inn after getting a recommendation from a Rick Steves tour guide. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. There are soo many reasons why I loved this place. First off, the room... More

The hotel is about a six block walk from the Rome Termini train station. The desk staff are very friendly and helpful and are fluent in English. The rooms are clean and modern. Even though the hotel is on the third floor, there is a good elevator to use. Breakfast is brought to your room at whatever time you specify... More

Great location, within walking distance to many attractions. Great accommodations, very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast served in your room. Friendly staff. Elevator is very small but very interesting - definitely from a different era, adds to the place's charm.

My husband and I stayed at the Target Inn Rome for three nights in March. The location was great for exploring Rome on foot and close enough to Termini Station to be an easy connection to airport connection buses, taxis, public buses, the metro, and overground trains. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a classic Italian view from the... More

I couldn't afford to go back to Canada for Christmas so I decided to go to Rome for this year's holiday season. So, I stayed here to spend time in Rome and realized that this place was as center of everything as it gets, because everything was so walkable from this inn. There are buses right outside the street, which... More

Target Inn is perfectly situated for seeing most of the sights on foot - and recovering after walking all day long! We slept better here than at home - great mattress and quiet rooms, and breakfast in bed is a great way to start the day. Definitely recommended - and hope we'll be able to come back again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
