Note: Trip was taken in June 2006, but Tripadvisor won't let me choose that date. This place is so fun . I went when I was probably in my mid 20's and my roomate and I had a blast. We were on a free educational trip (we're teachers) and were not looking into the party scene that they had at... More

This place is unlike any type of accomodation ive had in my travels. Myself and my two friends had our own little personal trailer with a table and chairs. The AC worked almost too well and the vibe of the place was like I was back home. There was a market where you could buy food and all the cheap... More

Plus Camping was excellent! I stayed in the private bungalows and they are brilliant. Every time I go to Rome I stay here. It is a little out of the way, 1 bus, 1 metro but what's not to love? Atmosphere is a great balance of young and family. I have stayed at many PLUS hotels, and they are all... More

I stayed at Camping Roma a while ago to be honest, so I hope that it is still as wonderful now as it was 1 1/2 years ago! A friend and I were backpacking across Europe and booking hostels as we went. The idea of camping was brought to our attention when we camped in Venice and it seemed a... More

Cabins are noisy and the whole thing shakes if other people are walking around in a neighbouring cabin (which is connected). I'd imagine they'd be freezing in the midst of winter as they were chilli in Oct. Wifi IS free but you need to get a code from the front desk and you need to use the pcs provided. We... More

This is a good base for first timers visiting Rome. We have another visit to Rome shortly and we are glad we have booked accommodation closer to the city centre as you have to catch public transport from PLUS camping (which isn't always easy in Italy) to the city's sights. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the... More

We stayed in one of the cabins with 3 of us and it was very cute.. it was really clean and when we got some bug bites (which were not bed bugs but we had been paro from getting them in venice) they cleared out our whole room searching to make sure and also traded us cabins so that we... More

Stayed in September 2010 on a short break with friends. Rented out a mobile home which had 3 beds and a bathroom in it. Whilst basic it was comfortable and clean. The site itself is excellent. There is a very reasonable bus into Vatican City which runs several times a day. It is very easy from where the bus drops... More
