I stayed at Camping Roma a while ago to be honest, so I hope that it is still as wonderful now as it was 1 1/2 years ago! A friend and I were backpacking across Europe and booking hostels as we went. The idea of camping was brought to our attention when we camped in Venice and it seemed a... More

Cabins are noisy and the whole thing shakes if other people are walking around in a neighbouring cabin (which is connected). I'd imagine they'd be freezing in the midst of winter as they were chilli in Oct. Wifi IS free but you need to get a code from the front desk and you need to use the pcs provided. We... More

This is a good base for first timers visiting Rome. We have another visit to Rome shortly and we are glad we have booked accommodation closer to the city centre as you have to catch public transport from PLUS camping (which isn't always easy in Italy) to the city's sights. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the... More

We stayed in one of the cabins with 3 of us and it was very cute.. it was really clean and when we got some bug bites (which were not bed bugs but we had been paro from getting them in venice) they cleared out our whole room searching to make sure and also traded us cabins so that we... More

Stayed in September 2010 on a short break with friends. Rented out a mobile home which had 3 beds and a bathroom in it. Whilst basic it was comfortable and clean. The site itself is excellent. There is a very reasonable bus into Vatican City which runs several times a day. It is very easy from where the bus drops... More

We stayed at I Pini several years ago, but only for a couple of nights at the end of a holiday in Tuscany and Umbria, we had always wanted to return for a longer stay...and we weren't disappointed. We used Elle Vacanze for our first visit, but this time we stayed with Thompson 'Al Fresco' in a 'Vivaldi' mobile home... More

We stayed in a permanent tent at this camp site. It was very basic, clean and comfortable. We expected it to be noisy and busy as many young people stay here whilst backpacking. However there were also plenty of families and we knew our children would enjoy staying here rather than a hotel. They played in the pool, playground and... More

Stayed for 10 days with Thomson Al Fresco, in a beautiful mobile home. AIR CONDITIONING ESSENTIAL IN AUGUST! We were trying to meet the needs of our culture-vulture older teen and our pool-loving 10 year old. The site is small, which gives it a friendly, safe feel. Bustling pool area, but there is a second, shallow lagoon-style pool where you... More
