I stayed here for 3 nights and I had really good sleep over the 3 days even though I was staying in a 6 bed female dorm. Facilities are good and the hostel's really clean. Location-wise, it was very convenient as it was only a 6 mins walk away from Termini - the main transport hub in Rome. Would recommend... More

This is neither a bad review nor a great one. Overall I felt the accommodation did what it promised. It was suitable for my needs and was as expected. But I feel that with a few alterations and improvements, it has great potential and could go from being adequate to amazing. With regards to the beds, they we ok. I... More

I had a great time there, staff friendly, located about 100m from Termini station, which you can get transport to the whole city... I met incredible people there. When I arrived there I could take a shower b4 my checkin, that helped me a lot..lol! They also give the possibility to pay the booking when you do the check out.... More

Great hostel, the cleaner guy took a lot of pride in his work, as he should because the place was spotless! He wouldn't even let me do my own dishes, have never had that in a hostel before. Day staff were friendly and helpful, provided us with a really useful map and some local knowledge. Beds were very comfy and... More

Worst experience I've had and 100 hostels so far. Ive stayed at some good hostels for far less money in Italy. Upon arrival, the doors were not working and the guy didnt help me open it. the sheets were not made on the bed. and my locker was occupied. They did not find me a solution and I slept with... More

Considering the price, this hostel has very good rooms and bathrooms, it seems like a normal hotel. The common room is nice too (great atmosphere for meeting people, there were spontaneous parties going every night I was there) but it closes at 12. The hostel is 5 minutes walk to the station. The city centre is also reachable on foot... More

Very friendly staff. I was only there for one night but it was a good experience. I like the keycard access. Legends is clean! If you are looking for a hostel then I think the is a good value for the money. My GPS took my down a road that was a little sketchy. But after I found the hostel... More

A good value for the money, and it feels like you're at a nice hotel. It doesn't have the normal "hostel" feel. Our room had about 5 beds, with a private bathroom and balcony. The room gets cleaned daily between 10-3. Some thought this was an inconvenience because you must be out of the room at that time, but it... More

We stayed there for 5 nights and we were very pleased with the place, location and staff. The location is very good, close to the main station yet the street itself is nice and quiet. All the staff were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. Was a great help to have the breakfast and dinner included,... More

I stayed in this hostel on my four days trip to Rome last month. I had a great stay at Legends. I felt I was just at home because of the homey atmosphere. There was free breakfast, a little night party in the annex building where I stayed. One can cook too . Supermarkets were just around the corner. The... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
