The legends hostel wasn't the best experience for us. We couldn't find the place at first because it's on the 2nd level of an apartment building with no sign. Once we got in there was no one at reception for about 15 minutes so we waited in the room with no air conditioning. Once the guy arrived he was furious... More

Definitely an older hostel, and small, but still not bad! The staff were very nice, and there was a good vibe with the other travellers and easy to meet new people! The breakfast was not very good... But there is a coffee/espresso machine available for use 24/7! Also, very close to Termini station which was very nice

I stayed at Legends RG for five nights and loved it. The room was clean and the sheets fresh every night. The ensuite was also really clean and spacious with a great shower. The free breakfast was great - eat as much as you want toast, bread, jams, biscuits, and cereals (cornflakes and muesli). They have a fridge where you... More

One of the better hostels I've stayed in. The room is very clean as well as the bathroom. Very close to the train station, and right down the street is a diner that has 3€ "American" breakfast. Honestly can't go wrong with this place.

I stayed here for 3 nights and I had really good sleep over the 3 days even though I was staying in a 6 bed female dorm. Facilities are good and the hostel's really clean. Location-wise, it was very convenient as it was only a 6 mins walk away from Termini - the main transport hub in Rome. Would recommend... More

This is neither a bad review nor a great one. Overall I felt the accommodation did what it promised. It was suitable for my needs and was as expected. But I feel that with a few alterations and improvements, it has great potential and could go from being adequate to amazing. With regards to the beds, they we ok. I... More

I had a great time there, staff friendly, located about 100m from Termini station, which you can get transport to the whole city... I met incredible people there. When I arrived there I could take a shower b4 my checkin, that helped me a lot..lol! They also give the possibility to pay the booking when you do the check out.... More

Great hostel, the cleaner guy took a lot of pride in his work, as he should because the place was spotless! He wouldn't even let me do my own dishes, have never had that in a hostel before. Day staff were friendly and helpful, provided us with a really useful map and some local knowledge. Beds were very comfy and... More

Upon arrival, the doors were not working and the guy didnt help me open it. the sheets were not made on the bed. and my locker was occupied. They did not find me a solution and I slept with... More

Considering the price, this hostel has very good rooms and bathrooms, it seems like a normal hotel. The common room is nice too (great atmosphere for meeting people, there were spontaneous parties going every night I was there) but it closes at 12. The hostel is 5 minutes walk to the station. The city centre is also reachable on foot... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
