the room was very clean, the staff was very polite and helpfull. it is located near piazza de la republica, nazionale avenue and termini. There is many restaurants around a termini station. the metro station is 100m far from there. safe neighbour. excellent choice!

Going over 10 years in Rome, but this hotel was the most unpleasant experience I had. Location is very good, but Hotel Elide was terrible.Internet not working in the room, the place where breakfast is served is totally inappropriate, what to say about what is offered. After the first experience I make mistake If you use obviously paid the safe... More

+ Nice location (off the busy street, close to all the transport, walking distance to via Nationale, Piazza della Repubblica and Roma Termini, very safe). Very affordable (we payed around 40 Euros/night for a double room). The staff's really nice and helpful. Our room and bathroom were clean. - The room was so tiny we had to put our suitcases... More

Not the cleanest or prettiest but it was cheap. Location is ok, not too far to walk to everything. Extremely disappointed at the maid leaving our room unlocked for a whole day! Charge is €20 for the safe key, not returnable. Staff reasonably helpful but a little disinterested. We booked under the name of Giorini a Roma via booking.com so... More

My partner took me to Rome for a weekend break and we had the most amazing time and the weather was incredible. Unfortunately, the only thing that let the experience down was the hotel. We are in our young 20s and so we wanted to budget the cost. In Rome, this can be very difficult, but seeing that it was... More

Whilst the accommodation is a mixture of old and tired bathroom and modernised features such as digital TV, aircon and new bedroom furniture, the place was clean and welcoming. The breakfast was adequate and overall this was good value. It is well located giving you easy walking access to Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia etc. also the Metro us only... More

It is a good hotel for staying several days, the location is very convenient for sight seeing and shopping as well. Everything within walking distance. The hotel is clean, a little bit noisy (but when you come tired you don't feel this), with poor but nice breakfast.

The Hotel Elide is in a great location within easy walking distance of everything in Rome. The rooms are small, which is understandable and acceptable for a converted house that is hundreds of years old. The bed was clean. That is all that is positive about it. There were only two very thin pillows and when we asked for another... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
