I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Camping Tiber. I stayed in one of the dorms. It says on the website that the rooms accommodate 19 but there were only 6 beds in my room. The site is about a 30 min train ride from the city ( EUR1 each way). The shuttle goes pretty much every half an hour but... more

The camping is quite far from Rome, and the suffle bus the supposed to have for the guest not always is there on time and sometimes even doesn´t appear. it was plenty of Ruman boy, who were looking at you everytime, observion all your movements. The only nice boy was the one on the bar, because the one on the... more

We stayed here after peak season so the place was quieter than usual, though the staff are friendly and had a drink with us after the bar closed and there were always a few other people to chat to. In terms of the private rooms, the place is less of a hostel and more of a campsite, as the private... more

...everything else was rather poor. It is far from Rome.. It takes an hour - an hour an a half to get there. The mobil home had paper thin walls so earplugs are a must! There were nasty band-aids in the window to keep the MANY mosquitoes out and the spring mattress was very uncomfortable and extremely creaky!! However, the... more

Great site. Clean and relaxing place before or after sightseeing Rome. Great regular free shuttle service to train station. Only €1 by train into Rome. Swimming pool (with bar) lovely for relaxing. Free internet. Helpful reception and shop assistants. Would definitely recommend and return! Would be fantastic if there was an area where backpackers could eat there own food or... more

A great place to stay while in Rome. Tiber offers excellent bus service to Prima Porta, where the train will take you into the heart of Rome. Usually takes around a half hour. The rooms are small, but the clean and super restrooms make up for that. The restaurant/cafe have an excellent staff who were very patient with my poor... more

Everyone speaks English and a few other languages. The location is great, a quick 15 min ride from central Rome. tatally worth it.... more

My wife and I stayed at Camping Tiber, which is a little bit out of "Rome" and it takes about 45 minutes from leaving the camp on the free shuttle to get into the center of the city. The shuttle was not quite on time every time, but was very convenient. The reception staff was friendly and knowledgeable but the... more

This is my second time staying at Camping Tiber. We stayed for 3 nights. My wife and I shared a cabin with my parents. We had the whole cabin to ourselves and with the kitchen in between, it really was nice. We were able to use the refrigerator so we did not have to eat out all the time. The... more
