We spend 5 days in Rome. The room was clean and modern. The best thing was that it was near to the public transportation (termini station ) but the area was a little strange so we have to be careful ( as i was walking in the mornig a thief stole two girls in front of me ) From my... More

I spent one night with two friends I one room, the price was acceptable, and it includes a small breakfast voucher in a nearby cafeteria. It is 10 minutes far from termini station, and our room was also 5 minutes far from Cavour metro station. The reception is in different address than the two other buildings where the rooms are.... The B&B was fine. A big, quiet room. Private bathroom, but next door. Comfortable bed. Nice view. What wasn't fine, was the breakfast! It was a voucher for Cafe Marulana and it was terrible! One coffee and a croissant. Wanted to charge us 2.50 Euros for a top up of coffee... It is not really a B&B if they don't... More

We asked for a little larger room when we were first shown a small one and ended up in a sweet room with room for yoga, overlooking a courtyard with plenty of quiet. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked pleasant and inviting. The breakfast was at a cafe across the street, and I liked being in with the... More

Good location close to maria maggiore It's an apartment you share with other guests, but just the common áreas like the kitchen where we were free to prepare tea or coffee. There are romos... More

Separated into 2 apartments in the building: one which is for this so called "B&B" only, and the other is 2 floor up inside the apartment of the grandma owning this place. The room is very small with no place to store stuff, as the huge closet is locked and full with the grandma's stuff. Inside the room, there's an... More

We initially had a booking with Galelei Guest House for three nights but due to overbooking we were shifted to Chez Liviana which is owned by the same management. We stayed near Largo Sant'Alfonso. The location was super. Just a few minutes from Metro A and 10 minutes walk from the Roma Termini Station. Colosseum is around 15 minutes walk.... More

My sister & I spent 4 nights here.Easy to find with prompt response & lift. We had a twin bed room with a private adjoining bathroom. A 10 minute walk from the train station. Comfortable beds in a good size room. Use of a fully equipped kitchen. A very quiet location. Everything clean & well equipped. Superb value for this... More

We stayed at Liviana's appartement at Largo Brancaccio 83. It is a 4-room appt. with 2 bathrooms. Pros: free wifi, location, budget price Cons: noisy doors and doorknobs, noisy breakfast delivery woke up everybody early in the morning, dishes' (un)cleanliness, shabby furniture, uncomfortable beds and sheets, other guests smoking in the appt. We were told we'd get a bathroom common... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
