My Wife & I stayed here for a week in April 2004. We got off the train in the rain and walked to the Pegasus. When we got there, wet, tired & disoriented, the staff were quick with a smile and got us sorted out.
It turns out our room was on another street so they had someone guide us to the room. Along the way, he gave us travelers' information on how to get around in Rome and what was nearby.
When we got to our room, I was blown away - it had a full kitchen, bathroom and a queen-sized bed! There were 2 bedrooms, so we were supposed to share but we only had guests the 1 night.
The only bad thing (and it definitely didn't spoil the good) was across the street is a building with gated parking. The gate made a lot of noise every morning as people came & went. This was minor and to be expected in the heart of a very busy downtown.
