The hotel was beautiful from the moment we walked in. The furniture and style was right up my wife's alley. We stayed for 4 nights in total and after the 2nd night we had managed to find our way around to the Spanish Steps and Colosseum and a few other sights while walking. The hotel itself is a very easy... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in May 2015. The location is excellent, it is a few hundred meters from Termini, and within walking distance of all of the historic sites (if you don't mind walking, as some of the sites are a few km's away), otherwise you can catch the metro or buses. The hotel was clean,... More

5 stars for location and staff. 4 stars for cleanliness. 3 stars for noise. Overall a 4. It looked like our room was maybe once a bigger room with the room next door - they have been separated and en suites put in the middle. We could hear the couple in the next rooms conversations and every time they used... More

My husband, the parents and I stayed here for 3 nights. Other reviews I had read prior to booking were complaints of street noise at night. Our room was on the main street of the hotel entrance and we slept with our windows cracked open every night and slept fine. Our room was spacious and clean. The lobby and common... More

Located near Roma termini it mskes it an ideal location for people that have to catch early trains or flights. I chose it because of the good price and was happy that it was a very decent choice. Clean , decent breakfast although the restaurant was a bit difficult to locate and very friendly staff

Booked through Expedia which lists as a 4star, and good price - In truth it was 4 stars in places and 3 stars in others. Excellent location for exploring the city, 5 mins from termini so no hassle arriving from airport via express train, 5 mins from where both subway lines cross, and 15/20 minutes from colosseum/pantheon etc. No faults... Good points: 1. The location of the hotel is easily accessible. Train, tram and bus stops are all within 5 minute walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. 2. The hotel is clean and gets cleaned everyday (except for our 2nd to the last day it wasn't). We stayed for 4 days. Towels get changed and sheets... More

Piram Hotel in Rome was very good in order to visit all historical areas there. It is strategically located near Termini (train and metro station), very close to the center of Rome. You can visit all sightseeing areas either on foot or alternatively by metro. It is very clean and every day they changed our towels. The stuff was very... More

The hotel was nice in general but the location was not i don't think i ever had a good nights sleep in the time i was there. The most i managed to get was 2 hours at most. Constant noise from below my window and outside the corridors. Plus the room was boiling hot and i had to have the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
