It was on the 4th floor with no elevator, a really bad room, with no working aicondition, not working lamps, the... More

Incredibly affordable price to stay in the heart of Rome! Close to a Metro station and walkable to the Colosseum. The staff here are some of the best I have experienced in my travels through Europe, North America and Australia; they set the bar high for customer service! They treated us like their own family members, and the guys at... More

Good place, near to metro station, nice clean rooms for the price, nice staff. The only disadvantages are: no elevator and WiFi doesn't work all the time. If I can advice something, turn Wifi on all the time!

Pros: + Close to the main train station and the colosseum. + Relatively cheap in comparison. + Nice guy at the reception (=the room downstairs). - Dirty - Extremly dirty, unhygienic bathroom (long hairs everywhere, a huge mood fungus on the ceiling above the shower cabin, used QTip on the floor during my entire stay). - Cold in the night... Simple, Clean, Friendly and helpfull Staff and a good location. The only problem is that our room is near the reception and the door. So at night there was noise when people arrive and talk to the owner and then noise from the street. But in Rome, for this price and type of Hotel was fair enough.

This hotel is a complete fraud. The pictures you see on this site is not what I saw when I arrived. The room was covered with mold, mildew, dirt and dead bugs splattered all over the walls. The room had a foul odor and when I opened the window to air the room out the smell of gasoline pour in... More

I stayed here with a friend from 14-17 June. Having read the reviews I was not to sure what to expect. The hotel is close to the station making it easy to reach coming from the airport. The room itself was basic but as it is a one star hotel I wasn't expecting much more. The beds were comfy, there... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
