I didn't have super high expectations for this place to begin with, but there were a few things that were a bit difficult. First off, breakfast had a lot of food items, just none that really work for breakfast. The wifi does not reach all rooms and there is no seating area. The owner is not very friendly and does... The B&B was what we wanted for our short stay in Rome. The room was clean and met our needs. The breakfast was reasonable as there was a lot of choice. The location was good for the train station, which is the reason we chose the B&B, but the area around seemed a little bit dodgy in the evenings.

I picked this B and B because of past reviews. I wanted a place where the manager spoke English and could give me some recommendations on where to eat, etc. where there was a "homey" feel. I did not find that here. I think there may be new owners. Minimal English. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation, I was... More

Within a five minute walk of the central train station in Rome, we found B & B Giovy and loved it there. The staff were extremely helpful and gave us excellent advice about our car-less, tour-less, visit to Rome. In other words, we wandered around on our own, but had excellent advice from the staff. Examples of good advice: if... More

Earlier reviews on this B&B were better than recent ones and it appears that this B&B has lost the plot. I would have rated it 2 stars except for some excellent service from Raihan who served Breakfast but also gave advice on places to see - such as a new shopping mall a bit of a distance out of Rome... Stayed there around 4 years ago anf thought for a cheap B&B it was ok. Stayed the beginning of May and found the neighborhood is failing in in what it used to be, Soon the Italian restaurants will slowly fade and disappear. The place has change owners who seem to be nice but do put forth any upkeep into maintaining... More

On arrival in Rome for one night at the start of our tour we were greeted warmly and gushingly told we were " not customers but friends". Nice room and quite a good deal. On the return visit a few weeks later at the end of the trip we were dumped in a tiny stinky shabby room. Talk is cheap... More

Returned on our 2nd visit expecting it to be the same standard as 4 years ago but sadly dissapointed. It is more a boarding house than b & b. The room was dirty, bathroom door wouldn't close, breakfast poor and staff BO stench. Paid far too much for a 'dive'. The location is great but that is all. Certainly won't... More

It's difficult to find B&B Giovy. You need to follow the address number . the B&B's name was written in little box of the big apartment. But all in all, the hotel was really nice and warmly welcomed, all facilities u can find in ur room including refrigerator, hairdryer, air conditioner. We arrived Rome late at night around 22:30 and... More

This was a great B&B. We stayed only for one night as we had an early train to Venice, but the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating and asked us to pick up breakfast (delicious cakes and an assortment of croissants, fruits, etc) as we were leaving before breakfast time. It was located within walking distance from Roma Termini... More
